Awesome bike, I just wish the BB wasn't press fit. And that Červený Vlk... 🤤

I sure hope it's immortal, cause I used up almost all of my goodwill with my wife building this thing

Tough to say about durability or ride quality before test rides and reviews come back, but looking at the Galbraith in 29x2.5 size, it comes in a 1200 gram version and a 1300 gram version. That’s pretty confidence inspiring if you’re looking for a durable tire. Most of the old Trek trail tires were around 1000 grams with paper sidewalls.

Running the Galbraith and Brevard SE tires right now. I'm more of a Vittoria and Conti guy but this new Trek rubber is awesome! Can't beat the price.

All my bikes (hardtail, trail, ebike, and DH) are 27.5 F&R. The hardtail and ebike can take 29 wheels, but I can't be doing with a 29 wheel in front, and I don't want arse rub out back. Actually my DH can be set up 27.5 or 26 with flip chips that alter the BB height, and CS length - I usually trash the rear spokes in the Alps, so I took my old 26 wheel as back up, and once it was needed, I've never looked back as it just felt better with 27.5 front, and 26 rear. Unfortunately...

I think certain dealers can get C frames though. I got my 2023 5010 C as a frame only from Jenson last year.

...and for fun, Nvidia - $3,253,615 per employee (and operating margins are 65%, too) must be nice.

And they have that crazy rental crank if you want to try out shorter cranks before you buy

Certainly appears to be the CC frame. List price is $3899 (wut?!?) and in cart it's $3300 and change.

Glad it looks good on paper because it certainly isn't a looker otherwise.

I'm guessing they need to move some product and not get in trouble with Santa Cruz for a MAP violation.. A manufacturer can't tell the dealer what they can sell a product for, but they can tell them what they can advertise it at..

This could have the added benefit of extra cooling conveniently being available at the same time as sudden, extreme braking events......

FWIW if you go to Jenson and add the new 2025 Bronson CC frame to your cart, the check-out price is $600 less than what it is listed at. Silent discounts on new Santa Cruz models already?

Appleman 2XR cranks are worth mentioning as a great alternative in this segment. Pinch bolts on both cranks, standard chainring interface if you can live with 104BCD or proprietary DM chainrings, many length options to choose from in the 100-175mm range, fully serviceable trail side, indestructible. CNCed and hand finished in Minnesota... loving mine.
