This statement has been made confusing by SRAM marketing, and isn't true: " A T-Type transmission or something similar will shift better than mechanical because it knows the precise time to shift to prevent damage and premature wear. " There is no timing, there's no sensor that knows the position of the cassette. The magic is in the cassette itself, which is designed more like an OG front dual chainring with ramps that only move the chain up when it hits those designed shift points. I'm not anti innovation, but I am pro choice. Having choices removed is a step backwards IMO.

Yeah when my wireless mouse doesn’t work that’s a good thing because that means I’m physically at work and can’t keep working, and work fuckin blows. When my wireless derailleur dies I’m super bummed because I actually want it to work.

All analogy is suspect but 😉 A laptop computer communicating with a wireless access point is smart. Communicating with a wireless mouse is a mostly harmless gimmick with some legitimate convenience added in some cases. Communicating internally wirelessly, like motherboard to daughter to storage etc, is kind of ridiculous. It’s a job wires are especially well suited to. I’m willing to take the word of the people who swap their wireless dropper post from bike to bike. That’s the mouse in this analogy. I think the wireless derailleur fits the third example best.

The last thing they told me was SuperSoft on enduro casing (which I've now ridden, at the YT Decoy SN launch), and Soft for the trail casing (which I published a picture of in our Sea Otter coverage, so at least one such tire exists). Sounded like no plans for a SuperSoft with trail casing though, correct.
