8/27/2024 10:04am Absolutely brutal slam @12.07. I hope she's OK. Edit; Apparently she dislocated her hip, but is otherwise OK.

8/27/2024 9:12am Similar product, spotted at the Snow Summit National last weekend behind someone's van. Asked and he said they work great, exactly as intended. We compared notes about how blown away we both were the first time riding a heavy ebike through choppy rough stuff. The front one is apparently an off-the-shelf moto product that fits a Dorado upper leg without modifications. And yes, these are definitely suspended mass dampers. Sadly, this bike needed a steering damper and hand guards to win bike tech bingo.

8/27/2024 9:10am I've been considering a steel full suspension frame from a small builder for my next FS bike. It's been a long time since I've been so intrigued by a bike as I am that Apogee.

8/24/2024 7:13am E-bike parks already exist. Well, at least one. We have a small bike park in Korea that is exclusive to E's for some reason. You can turn laps in about 10 minutes. Another bike park set up an open-side shed with outlets for bike/battery charging in the parking lot. People leave their battery and charger there for a few hours as they turn laps. No lockers or anything, just all sitting out in the open in the shed.

8/21/2024 3:46pm Here is the full statement from Dorval: DORVAL AM COMMENCAL TEAM STATEMENT AUGUST 21ST 2024 After 11 successful years racing DH all over the world, it’s time to pull the curtain on this amazing adventure for the Dorval AM racing team. Claude Pierré started the team in 2013 with the idea to help bring young riders to the races. One of them was Benoit. There was very little hopes and budget, and they had to fight to make the team what it is today. Allowing us to race full seasons. A decade later, we’ve proudly been at the top of...

8/19/2024 5:14pm on the other site, they posted an interview with Bryn Atkinson and this quote from Shimano product manager for mtb drivetrain Nick Murdick: " I actually think that probably most mountain bikers don't want electronic shifting on their bike today. And I think that making a solid XT mechanical group is one of the most important things for us to get right in the coming years." also basically confirmed that new saint is still in the works.

8/19/2024 5:14pm 100% Agree. Imagine walking into your local bike shop wanting to update your aging mondraker enduro bike. - Hello, I'm looking for a new enduro bike. - Ah yes, take a look at this Foxy. - No, sorry I must not have been clear, I want an enduro bike, like 160mm of travel, not a trail bike. -Foxy it is! Oh well, we call it the superfoxy now and it is 170/160mm. -Oh ok, sorry I didn't keep up with the name changes, but can I still get a Dune? -Of course sir, right this way, 170/165mm hard hitter, beautiful...

8/19/2024 5:13pm I would add that part of this is also that the major evolution in the last 2-3 years have been in ebikes, which this forum is relatively hostile towards. Generalization and hyperbole incoming: take a 2021 ebike and compare it to it's 2024/5 variant, it will look better, have better geo, better integration, more range, more power, lighter... Take a 2021 MTB and compare it to its 2024/2025 variant, it's the same bike but with headset routing, no rear derailleur routing and maybe some minor reworking of front and rear lengths or suspension curves barely anyone can feel.
