I just want to say, I have never been able "whip around" my bike better than when I put on the longer 460 chainstays. Turns out, when you increase front end grip, you can then drift the rear end in an extremely controlled fashion. My bike turns tighter than it did before, and I think it all has to do with front end confidence. I know I can turn a tighter radius because the front end is not going to wash. I often feel like the people who cannot fathom riding longer chainstays are the same ones who bemoaned the...

also worth noting: every single anti-proportional cs person talks incessantly about tight corners, as if thats the best part of mountain biking. "how will you steer your bike through 180° switchbacks?!?" dude i don't look forward to those types of turns on any length cs or wheelbase. when we are talking about suspension performance we hear the same thing about pedaling efficiency, as if pedaling uphill is this incredible experience that we are all looking forward to. Why are we designing bikes around moments that at best are bearable on a bike rather than optimizing our bikes for absolutely sick...

Good question. Question 1: Short answer, no. At least right now. One option you would always have is to cut your existing protection and use some 2 sided tape to glue it back on so you still have protection and you have the Chainmag. Alternatively, you could just run some clear Guerilla tape which is super good at protecting frames (this is what I personally do). Question 2: Literally started looking at this a few nights ago. My new bike came with a OneUp and there are a few really easy ways to potentially build a lower pully that easily...

This is the right choice imo, but if it's wet the Assguy will pack up there fast on certain trails. So bringing a rain backup (HR3, Argotal, MM) is a smart move. In the dry I think it's an ideal place for an assguy.

Yeah that seems like a reasonable technological solution, but I hate that it's this douchebag that's bringing it into DH. Continuing Neko's line of commentary... this is not the first situation where Daprela didn't take his hands off when everyone else would have.

Maxxis did a new casing construction with the DH High Roller 3 when it launched. But I don't think it was this full on next-gen casing. Just a new construction with the sidewall. They were supposed to 'talk more about" the HR3 casing in November. But I think the release of the Radials changed that plan. Neko has mentioned Maxxis working on new casings but that it was taking too long (so they went to Conti). Also, Jesse Melamed won on a prototype casing 1.5 years ago that he and Remi Matellier (sp) both said was a game changer. Let's...

Belt on the shoulder looks like it could be a sling for a men’s purse. This look would compliment Jackson’s kit nicely.

This has got to be the worst looking kit in existence. Who thought that accentuating Goldstone’s hips would look good? Got to be the exact same design as Tahnee’s been wearing

Who’s going to do the screen grabs from the new Finn testing vid??? I saw a HR3 on the intro shot which was interesting and also seems like a lot of looks at the new brake.
