The Levo killed the enduro star. How many e-bikes where being sold in 2015 and how many enduro bikes are being sold compared to e-bikes today? It’s a lot less about how to broadcast a race than it is about sales trends

As a person that loves enduro, I agree. Not everything needs to be cover3d and supported like dh. Take marathon for example... I think Chris Ball created a problem that didn't need to exist. Trying to figure out how to cover it...it doesn't need the coverage of dh so stop wasting time trying to solve it.

Frankly, that’s how the enduro series should be. It doesn’t warrant the big budgets or salaries of xc or DH. It would be cool to level the playing field actually, as that’s the spirit of enduro anyway.

I guess that means the awful drawn-by-a-child aesthetic is continuing into 2025. Really hoped that would not be the case.

I would doubt SC, Trek, Spec and Muc-Off would have a combined total budget of over $12 million a year. I'd wager the entirety of the UCI DH teams, combined, would be below $30 million.

Wouldn't bet against it at this stage, given how UCI/Ballbag have shafted the series.

All anyone needs to know about how small the field of dh racing is - a $100k prize is enticing. $100k is barely a rounding error in most pro sports.

Shimano di2 12 speed has been available for ep801 bikes for about a year now. Tho there is a non e bike di2 drivetrain coming down the pipeline soon, allegedly.

Had a quick scan through the UCI rankings to see if any riders with a few points were so far unlinked with moves . Based on this cursory glance I'm going to predict Greg Williamson and Henry Kerr to join up with Reece Wilson on his Gamux team .

I think Mille’s off to Intense. Possibly the gearbox proto frames they had…? ETA: Forbidden didn’t qualify as a DH race team - not close to the top 20. Can’t see them funding a team next year. They’re too small.

Curious what this will be about… It‘s not made by these riders but they are sponsored by them. Cast seems like they will be offering handlebars, stems, grips, saddles and street trials tires. Also looks like there will be a new Minnaar signature grip called the Bamba according to Probikeshop insta. Could this be a brand started by Probikeshop and am I the only one that thinks the branding looks like it‘s at least 10 years past its prime?
