We don’t have a team supported by mdk or any team at all… I sincerely wish they would help certain Spanish rider who’s currently privateer and already made it through finals 3 times this year, much better than a lot other people with plenty of resources… someone give Dani a chance!!

I saw on Ella’s insta feed that she was back on the bike, in Åre and she’d also been at Brages event in Trysil by the look of it. I am not sure she was physically injured, I think it was more about not being in the right head space, so to say. I asked at the Trek team tent in Champery (before she posted on instagram) and they were a bit cagey about saying what it was. Heres hoping she’s fit and ready, because she is a rider with a lot of promise.

Saw on IG that Dak picked up the win at the US Open today.. Considering how hard his recovery has been, it was good to see him win.. Maybe give him a bit of a boost going into Lake Placid and MSA..

I think this just an artifact of Dak being the only Mondraker rider at the US Open. He probably doesn't mind racing the 'privateer' life for one event to be able to have his own personal van and dog with him for the remaining World Cup rounds. I'm sure he'll be back with the team in New York. I mean unless something really weird went down and even if he is ultimately leaving, he is under contract until the end of the year I would presume.

Tough scenario all round, the 3 riders that sound like they've already got something lined up will be good but it sounds like the staff have been screwed over as well . Not sure if anyone has mentioned Jack Moir yet ? On paper a great signing for any brand but it doesn't seem like there is too many options floating around Enduro at the moment.

Posted that she’s back on the bike. So sounds like she missed almost the whole season due to an injury.

Horrible timing for that guy, switching from Enduro to full time DH and gets a nasty injury the same year the company he rides for implodes. Hope he finds a spot somewhere, maybe he can spend a year racing North American DH races/Crankworx to get his feet back under him.

Don't forget Kasper Woolley that is/was also on the YT mob but, unfortunately, jumping from an injury to an other lately.

I don't know if Laurie Greenland's contract is up but I think people are assuming he might be let go as he's perceived to of been having a bad season which I'm not sure he has , or at least not as bad as the results might suggest. He had an old school podium at Leogang I think and has had a fair bit of bad luck in finals and is coming off the back of health issues . He's a world cup winner and still relatively young and has shown he has pace when everything goes right for him...

Vali, just herself, as a team, has enough points to be in the top 15. So just by signing Vali, you're guaranteed a spot in the wcdh circuit as long as she's on your team for the next couple years.

Vali Höll has no points though. She earned a bunch of points for someone else. The team-first setup has been icky from the get go, but again: the money guys love it.

Do we simply toss around names and teams or is there at least anything to rely on?

In fairness to our Kona guys, perception matters and when you intentionally and unironically create the online persona of a rich asshole, that's going to alter the flavour of your subsequent acts. The kona guys didn't do that so their "return to grassroots" takeover of the brand just has a different feel.

if you wanna have some internet fun, you could discuss how Arena Group (bikemag parent media company) decided to sell off / shut down ridemonkey and the users ponied up to buy the IP and website, taking it back into private ownership.
