Also saw it on the back of a car shuttling past me as I was pedaling up the road so no time to grab a sneaky pic but thought it might have been this bike! Looked much like it!

12/1/2025 1:16pm random: i spotted what i'm pretty sure was another one of these on the shore yesterday. (same profile, cover, swingarm config, etc). his buddy was on what looked like a proto mule (raw alu) single crown thing. no indication of company affiliation on bikes nor clothing. entirely non-useful info, sorry.

Anyone have plans for replacement motors/batteries? Could do a core charge type thing where you buy a new motor for $1000, but send in the core and receive $500 back. Same for batteries. I think people (myself especially) are concerned about long term durability and finding replacement parts. I'd be happy to purchase a new OR refurb motor 5 years down the road. Get rid of lifetime warranties and just make replacement parts easy to find and buy.

If anything there is a point where on really steep stuff where it can pitch you forward a bit more, if your fork setup is marginal and you're going slow. But that's really steep, slow stuff that's full of steps, that most people don't ride regularly, if at all. And is exactly why everybody in arizona rides a bike with itty bitty chainstays and an air fork with 4 tokens in it, lol . Yep, the bikes I had with the feature were RZ500, GPz550, V45 Interceptor, and a CB1100F. Skipped street bikes for a while and just like that my 1989 FZR600 had no anti-dive.

10/27/2025 5:39pm i had an rz500 (2 stroke!) that had a rudimentary anti-dive system that was comprised of a T off the front brake line that actuated a fork compression circuit. unsurprisingly, it was not great in practice.

10/8/2025 5:51pm i've stripped (and polished, if i'm ambitious) many an alu frame over the years. walnut blast works fine if you've got a local media blaster handy. otherwise lots of chemical stripper options out there if you want to DIY the thing. aircraft (aluminum friendly) stripper is quite effective, but noxious. there's a couple less toxic "green" options out there that...

Dak goes all in on explaining his race run. He might need to do another version that is more so 'explain it to a 5 year old' for me because I could never process the amount of data these racers do. Really highlights how racers need to just know, not think about, but know where every rock is that could put them off line. Because one bad rock strike and that could be your tire done...

The 13-14 year age difference aside, the really problematic part for me is the fact that he was/is still her boss, and that relationship began when she was a teenager. If he was her teacher or coach at school and they started dating shortly after she graduated people would be up in arms. How is this any different?

Narratively I think it makes sense, all these geo tweaks are downstream from one another. At least that’s what happens when you design bikes largely guided by market feedback instead of just testing things. Has any bike company been as vindicated as Geometron?

yep. i had it up @ whistler a couple weeks ago (hadn't ridden it for a couple years prior) - for a nearly 2 decade old bike, was still surprisingly effective. yes, the wheels are small, the fork was puking it's vital fluids, and what once was a size medium-large was now definitely small in terms of reach, but the fc/rc ratio is cutting edge (long cs), h/a is still contemporary, and the properly high pivot suspension - unencumbered by extraneous gearing bits - is ridiculously plush. reinforced my impression of how ahead of the curve aaron was & what...

Just ridiculously ahead of the curve for 2006 or whenever this frame was created. My first awareness of this bike is Cam Cole racing one at 2006 World Champs in Rotorua, but I suppose that means it was being designed before that, probably in 2004 or 2005.
