Santa Cruz liked my comment about Dak.. That basically confirms Dak to SC by Team Rumors standards..

Well I hope some bike companies are browsing this forum and see how much global appeal Dak has amongst the downhill community

Daprela did actually threaten legal action, queenstown_npc was making fun of Daprela on instagram and tagging him to which he threatened in DMs, to which of course he didn't care about and posted the DM and made fun of Daprela again 😂. Tried to find the post but think it was posted on an instagram story.

I think Vali Höll should star on Team RockShox United by RedBull Leogang Alliance. Different frame every week, the same as whomever’s in 2nd place. Continue roasting. That’d be sick. She could do it.

He liked a picture of my dog on IG so he gets some love from this Scottish guy

Sorry no, I'm a fan also and I'm not American.

I think it's less dropping Dak, more not giving him as much as either Dak hoped for or making some budget for Ronan and Pinky. I have a world of respect to Dak, especially on his comeback journey, and I think he can contend for the win - but put on Mondraker's hat and think about the 3 elite male riders you have : 1. Ronan - Got a win this year, rides crazy (good views), young, redbull helmet, not consistent. 2. Pinky - Pretty consistent in the final top 10, young, has potential, still transitioning into elite imo 3...

Yeah... he never said anything about "I'm not being renewed" or "I'm being dropped." Purely speculative, but reading between the lines, that would indicate to me that an offer was made to Dak, but that it probably was a reduction in his previous compensation (which is understandable from Mondraker's point of view when mainly looking at race results this season in comparison to the other riders on the team) and Dak felt he could get a better deal hitting the market (which is also understandable from Dak's point of view... as his 'comeback story' provides a lot of intangible value...

If Dak could go to Norco that would be my top choice personally. They seem to be as committed as any team could be.

They discuss his future later in the pod. Pivot doesn’t seem likely from what they said. Norco or Intense both seemed possible. Also: the way the whole thing is discussed is kind of strange. There is never a mention of “I won’t be back with Mondraker” from what I heard. It just seems that they haven’t necessarily renewed his contract YET. Also possible they made an offer (possibly reduced salary) and he’s chosen to look elsewhere. I would love to see Dak on Mondraker one more year. In the past he’s talked about needing stability and consistency in his program...

I don't want Dak to go to Pivot

He follows other DH race team accounts but Trek seems to be the one where's he kinda following everything that has anything to do with trek.

If he's not riding for them, that's not following, that's stalking.

Did some extreme internet investigating.... And I found this!

I would bet that the Pivot circus might be his only offer that doesn't feel like a downgrade to some third tier team. Join them for minimal pay but it's good times and high vibes with the freedom to promote himself however he wants (vlogs, merch).

From BKs recent post. Credit to @Puneta for catching this. I just went and took a screenshot after seeing their tip.

Firm believer in the enduro dual crown setup ever since I had a Super T. on a VPfree way back when. Now on a long-stroked G1 with a (slightly) lowered and reduced offset Dorado.

Here is mine: Loved this one, very pedal efficient but made me looking more into a full DH bike so I switched to a Phoenix v5.

I’m lazy. I’d switch my fork more often if it didn’t mean changing the headset. For me the bigger question why not straight steerers on single crown forks? Is it a legitimate benefit?

He's been off canyon for years. He was on GT until it shit the bed earlier this year. He is just using old frames he has ATM.
