Shout out big privilege, he's a good dude. Always up at mountain creek, just a normal dude that likes riding bikes (with a rap career). I love that it he brings representation for a minority in our sport.

I can with 100% certainty say you're incorrect. "We're all better for it." is immeasurably short-sighted. I only typed that thing up because I didn't want the poster to feel like I was making a judgement on him (or anyone else). It costs me nothing to make sure the people who haven't earned any sort of negativity from me don't perceive any negativity from me towards them. For many of us life is hard. We're all humans and we all feel things differently based on what our hour/day/week/month/year has been like. I don't need to contribute negativity into anyone's life...

This could potentially be WILD, I'll be keen to watch some footage. Racing on snow is usually insane! It used to be more of a thing in the 90's & 2000's so I'm not going to write it off yet. I don't get why people have to rage out so hard on new events? No ones making you participate in or watch it. Good on Danny Hart for giving it a nudge - could be a trendsetter!

From what I can gather, almost all D2C and online fulfillment will eventually be consolidated into that massive warehouse in SLC they picked up roughly a year or so ago. Along with many other things like all warranties, wheel/suspension services, and their internal schooling. As for all the well wishes…thank you. I’ve been turning wrenches for almost 20 years, and this is the first time I’ve had the rug pulled out from under me. I’ve already poked my head around locally and pinged some friends and things don’t look horribly bleak, so I got that going for me…which is nice.

The common thread in all of this is the name you keep dropping, and the one that has disappeared from our lexicon: WBD and UCI. WBD is a for profit organization, they're going to try to make profit from things they spend money on. The problem is that the UCI sold DHMTB broadcast rights during a bubble as a money maker to WBD, but in reality, it was already a stone with not a lot of blood (profit) left to be squeezed from it, and certainly not the legs to become some F1 scale thing (and if you've watched much...

The sport needs to move away from endemic only sponsors etc.. so one team per frame brand just makes no sense. Why stop a team or brand who want to run a development and a-team program?

Team rumours rule 16.2E: An athlete using a bike during an offseason training ride shall not be strong indicator of sponsorship changes. If the bike is not from the category of the athlete's chosen discipline or if the athlete is travelling, it will not constitute a rumour. Team rumours rule 24.6B: The liking and following between brands on social media does not constitute a rumour.

I think this is only partially correct. They allow racers to film their race runs, but they own the footage and have first rights to use it. BK's issue was, that he does not get paid for his work as camera man and would have to run a GoPro (sponsor of the WC series), which would not allow him to make other sponsor agreements that earn him money. For example Santa Cruz Syndicate riders are running helmet cameras during their race runs and often publish the footage a couple of days after the race, so they are apparently cool with...

IIRC, BK didn't stop filming race runs to protest, ESO no longer allowed riders to film their race runs. BK did complain about it, rightfully so.

Totally, the Enduro side of the team is pretty successful . Morganne is a race winner , Matt walker is a race winner and consistently top 10 and Eddie has had some bad luck with injury's but is certainly capable of good results if he can stay fit . If Pivot are still supporting the Enduro side then given the amount of teams that are pulling out then that's a good thing .
