The Race Pro line will come out next year. For the most part this would be tires with the previous 'Super Race' Turn-Up casing.
A 29x2.4 Nobby Nic Trail Pro (11654142.02) weighs 1000g. Not a Radial though.
They 29x2.4 Romy Trail Pro Radial (1040g) is quick despite what you might think of the weight number, and it is great for trail riding.

Absolutely blown away by the Kryptotal rear downhill soft. That tyre has no right to still be alive today, with some side and middle knobs still present. The main issue is the casing, the grip itself is ok enough that I would run it until the rain comes in October.
My front tyre is actually a Krypto Rear downhill Supersoft on about 11 month old. It actually wore down quite fast at the start and then kinda just stayed at a certain level of wear. I am going bach to Soft upfront as my previous front tyre effectively didn't wear and my guess is that near perfect harder side knobs are equivalent to softer worn out ones...
But actually this wasn't what I wanted to post, I actually came here to give a PSA:
If your tyres look good 6+ months after fitting them, instead of just bragging about it on forums, maybe take them off and do a sealant change, otherwise you might end up with this monstrosity:
Wasn't sure if this thread or the dumb bike problems was the correct one, and yes I could feel it but I thought it was the massive flat spot on my rim... Feel free to ignore all my tech advice in the future
I found that although the kryptotals still had knobs present after 50 bike park days, the grip on rock slabs was awful compared to new. Also the side knobs started to get ripped at the base which led to some untrustworthy cornering.
The knobs still being present made me think, wow these last forever, but the performance was pretty bad toward the end of life. The conti supersoft rubber is hard compared to maxxis, and as you'd expect they roll pretty fast because of that.
Now it's official, Pirelli has dropped the all-new Scorpion gravity range that we previewed in our Sea Otter Europe coverage. One of the more exciting aspects is seeing the supersoft compound on the lighter casings, that's always something many of us are looking for.

Would you say pedaling speed is similar between 29x2.4 Nobby Nic Trail Pro and The 29x2.4 Romy Trail Pro Radial? Or does one have a noticeable edge?
I'm nothigh but happy with the SuperTrail Soft Nic on the rear of my last-gen Optic but radial curious.
Slight edge to a Nic for rolling speed. Could put it on the rear? I personally like the Diagonal / Radial mixed setup.
Romy is much more grippy. For a bike like the optic, having romy on both wheels would fit the bikes capability well.

Interested in read some ride impressions on these. Nice to see lighter weight trail/Enduro tires with softer compounds.
