She rips and has ripped in a number of disciplines. I think her bike setup looks atrocious and I don't think I'd feel comfortable on anything like it but I'm glad that she likes it and can shred on it!

I almost made a joke earlier about this event heralding the beginning of the next 20-year gearbox winter but it's clear the industry is different now. I think they'll probably remain niche in bicycles but they make a lot of sense in e-bikes.
Did somebody already notice Martin Maes' floating brake arm on his Rallon? Don't remember seeing that mentioned, but it caught my eye in the Lawlor G-out video that Spomer just posted. Seen at one minute 15 seconds in.
If Martin's on flat pedals, I wonder if that has anything to do with his thinking around anti-rise. The Rallon DH is around 60-65% AR, which is really really low, so if anything this brake arm would likely be designed to give it more anti-rise to make it squat on the brakes. I don't know if high or low AR is better with flat pedals. Very interesting!

Getting a screenshot on insta reels is super hard! but I spotted this bracket with 2 positions. I got some rough measurements from the those other pictures to estimate the change in Linkage (I don't think the model in there wasn't super accurate either) and yup, it probably increases the AR to 100-120%

I want to say that a higher anti rise should be better as the squat in the rear rotates the bike rearwards and gives you a more stable position on the pedals by essentially dropping the heels even more.

Low anti rise comes with the bike pitching forward which is probably not ideal on flats, but high antirise comes with harsher suspension under braking which is also not great. Maybe 100-120% strikes the balance for Martin
Having come from riding bikes for the last 5 years with AR values in the 50-55% range, I really, really like that my Vessel out of the box with a floating brake arm, linkage driven single pivot, sits at 70ish AR, and is adjustable in both directions. I don’t know the exact numbers but have been adjusting the link to increase AR, as I feel that there’s a balance to strike depending on the rider and I personally prefer a higher 75-90% AR to settle the bike down. In really steep stuff my Madonna is a little nose heavy, the Vessle is not. I’ve ridden bikes with AR in the 100+ range and they are quite harsh under brakes in the rough. AR is one of the few things that I have started to be particular about as I’m far more sensitive to it than say 62.5 - 63 HA…

But the new LT has long chainstays, and I don't think they'd landed on that geo yet when they made the mold for the DH bike. The current proto has a rear pivot, so no adjustable CS either.
I've got 7 days on my V10 now, and the long chainstay (460) with a 475 reach is clearly the best. If they launch the DH bike with a stubby CS (like Pivot), it'd be a real letdown.
Seems like Commencal is back on the braking squat train (I've always thought antirise was a confusing term) since the new version of thier dh bike dropped the Horst link

Everything I’ve been riding for a long time is past 100 and it’s harsh under foot with flats. Less ideal in my eyes. I would think that although pitching forward, having more active suspension would feel better with flats.
