This has been mentioned before, but seeing Brage on a Transition would be pretty iconic. They have a freeride bike and support other riders sending it. Part of me also wishes Kona comes out with a new Stinky paired with old graphics, and then unveils it with Brage doing some crazy shit as always.
Whoever picks him up will have a bike that will be in the running for "video of the year" for the lifespan of the contract.

Very cool that Pivot gets an American rider. Very smart move.
I agree, it seems like the brand may have made it a priority to the team. Furthermore and this is getting in the weeds here for sure, but I wonder if Pivot envisions a scenario where they buy the race team out or have Maples buy the race team out and run it in the future? I'm sure he's getting paid well but future promises could've been a part of the deal as well.
As for Brage, I still see Trek or Santa Cruz as the top contenders, but who knows he likes to do his own thing.

People could argue Cannondale - the former MTB Marketing Director/Head of Marketing of GT who helped get Brage on the full GT program (in addition to others helping retain and build with him after he was aboard) however you want to use corporate jargonese is now the MTB Marketing Director/Head at Cannondale.
However, personally, I don't see it a great fit... I wouldn't be surprised if it'll come down to Trek, Commencal, Spesh, or sneaky wildcard Nukeproof. Brands who either "have" money or are willing to use whatever to build (or re-build in Nukeproof's case) their brand and go get a rider of that caliber.
The video parts will be sick wherever he lands and i will still watch when they're released.

According to Instagram, he was recently in Milan with a very attractive model type. No clue about his team, though.

He is fast, and in my eyes, he has matured this season, finding the edge very well. He was 6th overall after 5 races or so.
The rumours about him will not be cleared and i think, we can not really comment on this as outstanders, because of lack of objective information, so i keep with his racing skills which can be top 10 for shure.
His Uncles bike - did a video on it. His uncle is the major repairier of ebike motors in Oz, based around Gold Coast i think. Dont read too much into this

I find it baffling that the general public have become judge, jury and executioner.
As someone who lived with this kind of allegation hanging over me for over a year until the police dropped the investigation and any charges due to ‘a significant lack of evidence’ it ended up costing me my job, and very nearly my marriage and life… what happened to the world in which we live in being innocent until proven otherwise?
Has any official police investigation ever taken place?
Anyway, back to the rumours - gutted to see Laurie not doing a full WC season and apparently losing/dropping his RB helmet?

As for Laurie, he doesn't seem too stressed over it.. If he wants to get back after a break, he can hit some continental races, probably still has contacts that can get him a Hardline invite, and find himself a ride later on..
