As an owner of a Bronson 5, my first santa cruz after riding numerous brands this thing will be good. There bikes just are, no matter what the layout. Quality off the chart, ride feel like nothing else and durability to boot. Im sold probably forever at this point.

3/2/2026 12:17pm Broke my hip 2nd Nov 2025 - Back on the bike now but definitely not at full tilt. The recovery from a full hip replacement like mine probably quicker, as everything is new. The fine motor skills, balance on uneven surfaces and thiose "oh shit" momeents when you need to drop a foot are my barriers for now. Heal up...

To be fair I'm sure he clarified quite some time ago he wasn't an owner in the business. He also siad they were prepared to up the anty in terms of team for 2026 but can respect he wants to properly focus one last time on racing without having to own / operate the entire thing.

As someone who was there from the very beginning (okay EWS #2), I think the story arc of EWS/EDR is a bit more complex that people think, and that Chis Ball is not the boogie man some make him out to be. EWS was not just Chis Ball, it was a run by a board, with Chis as the most public facing member of the organization. Keep in mind that in 2013 enduro racing was seen as an exciting new sport (yes I know, it wasn't new in France and Italy) and the timing was perfect with new wheel sizes...

I spent more time than I would like to admit trying to fix my shifting. It would shift fine for some of the cassette but some gears I couldn't get to work right no matter how i adjusted. i even replaced a derailleur hanger. Turns out i routed the cable of my shimano derailleur backwards.
