To be fair, the forks are bottomed out too... Its not that different to how other bikes look in the numerous bottom out galleries vital bas done over the years.
...but yeah.
Trying to figure if the rear "triangle" is just a triangle in order for brake/shift routing.

Yeah I probably should have mentioned the MRP one too since they are pretty much functionally identical to the Ratio one.
I dont think Luca Shaw actually had the MRP one on his fork, looking at the photo, his looks different from the MRP one. I guess that sram probably just made him an in house one at his request or its something they are developing anyway.
I just wondered if the thing on Luca's bike is actually doing the same thing as the Ratio/Noken or if its something different. It doesn't seem like it could really be anything else other than increasing the volume though.

Luca was running something that looked an awful lot like the faux air caps that world cup racers used to use, to disguise the fact they were running a coil conversion in their forks. I wonder if we are seeing that make a comeback, it was a big thing mid 2010s then seemed to fall out of fashion.
The vorsprung coil kit is now dual crown fork compatible.
Ha, yeah I had also thought about this. Memory is hazy but I think the top caps pros were running that implied a coil conversion were on Fox 40's back in the day? I might be wrong though.
Going by what they say about coil spring kits, it feels less likely that RS would be developing a coil kit for Boxxer. But who knows..
I've just bought a D1 Boxxer ultimate and building up a new DH bike. I haven't rode the fork yet, but just been reading up on it a bit. Cant help but wonder if a Flight Attendant kit will be released for the D1 Boxxer at some point.
But the fact that there is a new Zeb with new lowers in development, it makes me think that an updated Boxxer is probably already in the pipeline since RS seem to like to keep all the fork lowers using the same design language.
Continuing with the Zeb, I'm really curious about whats hiding under that cover on the lower leg. Thought it might have been some sort of piggyback reservoir but whatever is under there seems like it would be too small to be that.
I particularly enjoyed the underwhelming and cheap sounding "tink" sound of the bike/scooter bottoming out.
dude the blur of a mad scientist followed by the utterly dismal "tink" of that bottom out reminds me of something from a Tik Toks That Radiate Vine Energy compilation. Cannot believe its real. I would love it if you guys did an interview with him...
that might just be an advertisment payed in advance .... i dont think they put out fresh products anytime soon
Perhaps they'll present it but I doubt anything will ship anytime soon. Atleast from the european warehouse. Can't remember if the american branch of YT is affected.
Not sure if they have just forgotten to tell PB to not run that ad or what but they should postpone the launch until they offer some sort of update on the future of the brand and what they are doing for all the European customers who have had money taken for orders they seemingly cannot deliver or refund.
Who in their right mind is going to spend any money on a new e-bike from YT right now? If I wanted to get rid of several thousand dollars quickly for nothing in return, there are plenty of better ways to do it, such as setting it on fire or hiring a lawyer to claw back money from YT for other customers.

I was under the impression that YT NA was doing fine. Maybe the release will be region targeted. Any Euros here get this email ad?

And yes, you need to watch the WHOLE 35 seconds.
I would pay good money for someone to ride this thing down the stair set in the "Psycho snaping his norco chaos in half" video. Bonus points if they wear the same jeans.
In other news, I did a mini road trip and saw a Trek Fuel (?)X in a store and on the sales floor on Sunday, ready to be sold well in advance of embargo date. Looked really good.... but $7,000 for an Eagle 90 aluminum build is a little rich for my blood.

But what happens to the NA entity if the European (and main) entity closes down? It's originally a German company so I assume that means that the European entity was the one responsible for designing and manufacturing the bikes. I assume all the manufacturing contracts, IP, parts supply deals, trademarks, etc. are all tied to that entity. Are YT going to transfer all ownership of that over to the NA operation?
Either way I think they have burned a lot of trust recently. I think people would be crazy to buy a bike from them until there is clarification on the future outlook of the company. Madness to release a bike right now imo.
Looks like that Transition proto spotted a while back is getting closer to release. New Spire? TR11? Combining Spire and Patrol? One bike to replace all three, similar to the new Rallon???
Modular dropouts, swappable lower shock mount. Although it looks like a tapered headtube, interesting to see them switching from the straight headtubes on the Spire and Patrol.

look at how many brands went out of business the last few years and are now back in business. These filings and proceedings are tools to reconcile debt (I think, I’m an idiot when it comes to business and money)

Krusty Krab strikes again.
If it isn't "to be a bike for pedaling", and you dont' have to worry about seatpost insertion nor water bottle, why not stick with a horizontal shock? Make your bike look better! Make it stand out! Its not like any company is selling enough DH bikes to justify their existence on their own, its all about brand visibility. So be visible!

100% this.
I understand everyones concerns but this all seems fairly standard fund reorganisation (from current public info at least).
The staff can’t say anything because they’re not allowed to and also don’t know. If they do say anything they’ll be the first for the chop if redundancies happen.
Remember data is the big commodity and debt ownership is a close 2nd… far bigger than oil.
The last thing the banks want is for a business to go bust because then they don’t get as much as of their “money” back.

I don't really care the reason why a company sends out a email saying "thanks for the cash, but we can't fill your order nor issue a refund. If you have any questions call your lawyer, not our (non-existent) customer service"; I'm not pulling the trigger on an online purchase.
Sadly as abrupt and heartless as it all sounds (even with the pinkbike translation) it is all still quite standard communication… that will have been written by their legal team.
It’s still super early days the moment and I’m still giving them the benefit of the doubt. Bigger mtb companies have bigger falls from grace and come out and we’ve all forgotten about it surprisingly quickly.
It’s funny whenever there’s a negative story we all shout “I knew it”
But when there’s something positive we’re all saying “there must be a catch”.

It has to be an elaborate joke right? Right?
Can someone put sam pilgrim in contact with these boys please. I bet he would take that thing down a line and actually look good while doing so.
DJI Decoy

Perhaps they'll present it but I doubt anything will ship anytime soon. Atleast from the european warehouse. Can't remember if the american branch of YT is affected.
Not sure if the Decoy coming with the DJI...
That bolt in front of the motor looks like SX or CX to me
I'd also say the display screen looks to be too flush fitting for DJI, their screen is slightly raised.
That down tube size doesn't say Avinox. At this point in time I wouldn't give someone else's money to YT.
It's a Bosch CX.

I just received an email from YT for the same ad. I would think they would have stopped that from going out if they were holding off on a release.

The only reason YT gets to continue to live uncaged is because we abolished debtors prisons like a hundred years ago.

It doesn’t look like it has enough seatpost insertion to be a bike for pedaling.
