Pon also has to find another brand for Brage. SC seems logical, but not very interesting.
Who is that guy and why does he look so disappointed in his bike?
Because it's the new fad of side saddle bikes?
Hahahahha this is hilarious
re-subscribing....
2026 rumour call - Maples to frameworks
Does anyone have insight on how the MOB will continue when YT is restructuring? That seems like a very large expenditure for a company hurting for cash. I'm sure Vali, Andi, and Oisin will find some way to finish out the year, but will the whole big team and support crew be able to continue without the big bucks behind them?
There's MoiMoi and Christian Textor too.
Maybe I've got it all wrong, but I feel like YT have had serious issues with financial mismanagement for quite a while now?
Hopefully this current issue does not impact the Mob, as the three main DHers have been having a killer season so far
They were bought by private equity in 2021. It’s really become the downfall of the economy. Not just bikes.
Brook McDonald already off Ari? He posted a photo of a v10 earlier today.
Sure looks like it!

Weird considering all the quality content he has provided since being with them.
Texi - and I assume Jack - are fine for now. Things will continue for them as normal. At least for Texi and I think for Jack, too.
I know that’s the nickname he goes by but it’s hard to read every single time… can we just stop?
Brook had been on their ebikes until recently as well and then I saw him back on a gasgas last week. Weird as I also thought his content was pretty solid for them.
Brook seems like he's holding back on what he really wants to say at rhe very start of Wyn TVs hardline qualy vid
If I didn’t already know, I’d’ve paused that WynTV to search what bike was this dude on because I’m never going to buy one. Phenomenal salt!!!
Brook since his horrible crash and a decline in his results has always come across in interviews and what not a little salty about his sponsor situations and all the bouncing around he's had to do but doesn't want to pop off about it...
I think when your job is no longer guaranteed and you are essentially just risking your life for not much gain they start to get a bit bitter with the sport and culture of it all.
I think Brook is at a bit of a crossroads.. He's got the skills and following that he could transfer into a content creator role and still do some racing, but I'm guessing his heart and head says he wants to race for the results.. Unfortunately, those aren't there for him.. Hopefully he can make something happen because it would be a shame to see him disappear from the scene..
His results or lack there of have never been his fault in his eyes
This.
Love the guy, his riding and the story. I don't think he has anything to prove to anyone.
Oddly frustrating to watch him point finger at things around him, say like every 4 words and have little self awareness. Obviously very unsatisfied with how things have washed out lately but it's seems to be holding him back rather than fueling his hunger.
He believes he is owed something
Seems like he’s passing up a paycheck to get on the equipment that he thinks will give him the best chance to get the race results he wants. Not sure I would equate that to being owed something. Haven’t heard him say anything besides I’m more confident with his current setup. Yeah he knocked on the gt he was on a bit after he left but so has wyn and others.
He's undeniably a far better rider than I’ll ever be, and this isn’t a critique of his skill on the bike—that speaks for itself. That said, I have to disagree with what you’re saying. He’s consistently criticized almost every bike he’s ridden since the original Mondraker. More notably, he’s the only rider I’ve heard go on a podcast and openly tear into multiple former sponsors' equipment—sometimes even gear that’s still on the market.
Most riders might, years later, say something like “that wasn’t the best race bike,” but he goes as far as to call bikes sketchy or unsafe. That level of public criticism is rare. If the general public can pick up on that attitude, which is obviously a reality going off the general take thus far - just imagine how cautious brands must be when considering him for sponsorship, because At the end of the day riders are Just sentient advertisement.
The Receipts:
Talking about finding sponsorship to go racing, Dom Harvey Podcast 2025:
“I understand that in in like the industry but like in my eyes as well it's like you know I've been so prominent in the sport like to go to a company it it feels I kind of feel offended like if they're like 'Oh sorry we can't do that.' And I just it it's hard to understand because like you know in my eyes like I feel like I should be able to you know finish World Cup racing but still be associated with the industry and I've kind of got the feeling like I could have just put everything down and not said a word and no one would have asked the question and it it's kind of a shame the way it's going.” (17:05)
Racing Bikes, Bike Delays, Downtime Podcast 2023:
“I didn't enjoy riding my bike and like I'm like well if I don't enjoy riding my bike why should I be here why should I be racing like risking myself or just putting myself in a position to come 40th Place like I'm not there to come 40th Place so yeah it was difficult.” (17:34)
“I just become super unmotivated like I actually didn't even want to race my bike like I didn't want to race bikes anymore.” (17:47)
2022 season and the Mondraker Bike, Making Up the Numbers 2023:
“I didn't know what the bike would do... it was super unpredictable going into race runs." (54:41)
“For me, you know, confidence and Trust was the biggest issue that I had last year and from that like I lost the love of racing my bike... it felt like a job for me it felt like work didn't feel like I was going there to have fun.” (1:03:25)
“2022 was probably the shittest season I've ever had in my career and like to a point where I actually didn't even enjoy riding my bike like I was tuning out.”(1:49:32)
Do you have an insanely great memory or are you drinking some serious haterade?
What about Greg? He seemed to spend his last year on the syndicate vocally dissatisfied. Should norco have avoided him because of it?
again in his most recent interviews I have no issue with him saying he’s more comfortable on the v10 and feels like he’s pushing for the first time in a few years. I think in a world of shills a little honesty is actually pretty nice from a fans perspective. As well as someone chasing ending their career how they want to knowing it’s going to be hard versus the easy route. Way too many sell outs in this world.
No hate. Really want to see the guy do well again. The evidence is there so people can go and listen, then make up their own minds.
I appreciate the honesty from him and other riders in the scene. The difference between Greg, Gwin (who have also been vocal at times re equipment issues) and Brook, to me, is not only what they said and how they said it, but the attitudes underpinning the comments.
