Everyone knows the only way to get your bars and levers juuuust right is to adjust them with a rusty multi-tool in the trailhead parking lot while your buddies are waiting on you to start the ride. The more exasperated your friends are, the more precise the alignment.

Hey guys, I just came across this. Not a new product but an ingenious way to get handlebars perfectly aligned.

What do you do when your wheel is more wobbly than a rummed up pirate on land?

I’m just waiting for the 60 euro patent pending version hand crafted in the Dolomite region.

This is also similar to how I match lever angles.

FUNN bars have this covered with plenty of markings that make it easy to match angles and width from grips, but for my other bike with Spank bars I used a free level app 🤷 at-home or on-trail alignment made easy

my arms aren’t symmetrical in any way: length strength, mobility. Eyeballing bars is fine.

Rather than measuring a gap with your eye, align it to “touch” and all of a sudden it’s far more accurate than anyone needs.

Just saw this was already posted. Also, I didn’t slide my grip all the way on and never noticed so….

What really matters is that I believe it's aligned.  As long as I think it is, it's good enough.

I wonder if they will only be oem for a while til they release to the masses. Like they did with the ohlins coil.

yes. i deleted because they asked.

edit - further clarification - it's embargoed material that some brand, shop or media "hero" is putting on the internet. if shimano doesn't their images on vital and asks for it to be removed, i'll oblige. i would do this for any brand in the same situation. i don't control other websites the material may land on.

if it was spotted out in the wild or posted on a site in error to be freely seen, well that's an entirely different situation.

What about if it was discussed In a Signal chat? Wink

Is there one?

On the whole handlebar alignment thing... I once watched 2 friends argue for at least 30 minutes over who's bars were off and by how much... The best entertainment one could ask for while enjoying a beer...

Speaking Ali, the laser bar alignment tool is dialed (if it fits with your stem)

There is a lot going on on this handlebar.

Is Morgane Charre running her front Neo sensor on the handlebar instead of the brake caliper? That cable doesn't appear to be waiting to be reattached to the fork. Interesting way to potentially run a sensor.

I actually prefer bars to be slightly out of alignment because I made myself get use to it and now it never bothers me if its its not right 😂

That's the handlebar remote (see the cable going to the ring controller on the bar). Allows the rider to switch between the preconfigured shock tunes. It's shown in the app / manual, but I've never seen it for sale.

The "sensor" you're referring to is the battery and transmitter.

This is old product, but cool to see the in-between stage prototype from the old DHX2 to the new version. That eyelet is a hybrid of both.

There are still some gold Fox forks in the pits. This one and its shock were ready to head back to where they belong.
