The CC CSR I talked to said he was on a personal mission to get them to update that to make it fit the older cranks, so give them them a call and let them know if you want that too!

Good shout; those are great (direct link for anyone who's looking: https://dispersed.bike/product/ti-6mm-to-14mm-adapter/)

Those are some very production looking stays. Gotta wonder how far they were into the production bike before coming up with this wicked concept. What's the UCI rule again for how long you have till a bike needs to be in production?

IIRC it was a year but I don't believe it's ever been enforced in MTB (and may have been quietly rescinded).

Seems like we won't have to wait much. I was looking at used Tyee 5 and ignoring the 6 due to the headset routing, this is messing up my plans !

The front shock mount is on an eccentric cam so you can change the LR and bb height by rotating the shock mount. The other end of the shock is on a yoke with a threaded heim joint so the bb height can also be adjusted this way.

The suspension is a layout like the Nukeproof Giga. Short link off the rear end drives a rocker link.

The guy behind this does a polymer bushing like a spherical bearing.

Somewhat meta question about this thread (please don't yell at me if this is off topic):

In the rare instanced when Vital deletes spy shots at brands' behest, do they get a financial kickback or do the brands lean on their advertising dollars to apply pressure? Because they should not be deleting that for free!

It must be very hard to bring out new ebikes that are obsolete with the arrival of the DJI Avinoxm, all these ebikes are heavy, fat and with pregnant aesthetics. The traditional ebike industry will not start to recover at least until 2027 from this blow that DJI has given them, I see a lot of sales coming to get rid of the stock of these products.

Differing opinions are welcome, but I've studied the reviews a lot and when you dig deep down, I just think the Bosch is a more compelling product.

It seems to have better power application, notably better battery efficiency (which effectively negates the DJI 1# weight advantage), less obtrusive noise, better warranty and aftermarket support, chainring protection, etc. Then you add in the CX-R improvements (i.e. auto shifting, hard wired shifter, lighter motor, etc.) and it's quite an impressive package.

The DJI still rules in terms of fit and finish into the frame and outright power production, and probably the screen, if those are your primary concerns.

It's also still a bike, first and foremost, and it needs to excel at bike stuff. The motor is just a component.

At least you aren't claiming the gearbox bikes are the only thing that is relevant. Those guys positively kill me.

Doh! Sorry, I thought I was in the e-bike thread!

they just venmo me $2.79 per deletion.

it's very rare we get asked to take anything down and in 16 years of being at vital, i don't remember any leaning/pressure from brands "if you don't do X, we'll hold back from working with you." just because something was here and goes away doesn't always mean we deleted it.

we delete if asked by a brand b/c someone that shouldn't have had the info/photos/videos leaked the info/photos/videos or if an NDA was clearly broken.

we don't delete if a product is out in public, if someone was careless with their hiding of it in public or if a 3rd party was careless w/ their viewing settings on videos or articles or store pages.

i think most everyone is aware that if something lands here, it's out in the world for good, whether we delete or not, ya know? things just move too fast. i'd HATE to be a brand trying to keep something quiet these days.

I love the idea. I try not to comment on looks but I'm certainly getting a "Cousin of a Rotec but in Deliverance" vibes.

Would still love to try it.

Another thing that people don't understand- if something gets leaked before bike shops know whats coming, they can have lots of product on the floor that lose considerable value as soon as a photo is posted, as everyone will want to wait for the newnew or expect discounts. It's already hard being a bike shop owner, and some of this deleting is actually best for the industry in the long run. heavily influenced by Escapee Collectives discussions on this topic and embargos

I am just remembering some forbidden (?) stuff got axed and people were saying it was an admin delete. I did mention it was rare in my comment.

What if we venmo you $3.76 to keep them up?

Interested in the NDS endcap on the back of Brosnans bike. Those concentric axle pivots seem to put a ton of issues into hubs, wonder if it’s similar to what Danny was running in the GT last year.

I think that's one of the Infinity Stones. If she gets all five, she can make half her competitors vanish with a snap of her fingers.

But actually... perhaps it's a suspension setting indicator, a la Loic's much-debated handlebar LEDs?

The notches around the circumference resemble the Shimano BB/Centerlock pattern. Not sure if that's just cosmetic, or if it's an actual tool fitting.

Good catch with the BB tool grooves.

I bet it's a TMD dropped into the steerer tube...or it's the eco/boost switch for the ebike she plans to race. Everyone thought it was a hidden gearbox, turns out it's a DJI motor.

Is it just me, or is the covered Orbea dh-proto in the Pit Bits Gallery a high-pivot bike???

Also, the pic of the frame from Aon Racing pits - is this a Gamux Horst link frame?
