How are there no comments on the fact that Brage looks like he belongs at strongman competitions? Holy smokes.
He can’t race world cups because he won’t fit in an airplane seat.

Aon picks up Schwalbe (apologies if this was already posted, definitely scraping the bottom of the barrel now...)

What's the deal with Sam Hill and Foes? Did that fall through or do foes just not have a bike for him to ride Hardline with?

It fell thru.  Sam said he was not able to put together the sponsors (besides foes) to go racing.  That’s why he’s doing the bike shop sponsorship, trail company, coaching program he is doing.

It’s so so so fucked that Cami could potentially not be racing world cups this year.  This new rule change really puts riders on the back foot for negotiating contracts and also really hampers top riders wanting to put together their own program.

Apologies, I havnt full brushed up.  If your in the top 50 of your class you can still get in, but your team can’t?

Yeti is outside the 15 teams auto picked to get into this season, so if they don’t get a wildcard spot she technically is barred from racing, right?

Man, he still has some big sponsors too, monster and fox head. Crazy that it wasn't enough to make it work with foes. I was really hoping that foes could make a comeback too

No, she would still be eligible to race. But she will need to have her pit set up with all other non-top teams. Think about Andorra and how far the privateers' pits were.

She can still race but would have to pit in the privateer area or with another WC team: "...riders can also get into World Cups with their ranking points. While in 2024, holding 40 UCI points would give you entry to World Cups, for 2025 an elite rider will need to be inside the top 50 individual rider rankings and a junior racing will need to be ranked in the top 100."

How do you know riders qualified to race WC but not on World Series teams won't be allocated pit space in some way?

Individual riders qualified to enter a World Cup event but who are not registered to a UCI MTB Team, World Series Team or supported by a National Federation will be able to book space in the ‘C’ Paddock at each event, managed directly by each LOC.

Paddock Overview:
A Paddock: World Series teams
B Paddock: Per event, 8 invited UCI MTB Teams per format. Bookings managed by each LOC
C Paddock: UCI MTB Teams, National Federations and open to any bookings, managed by each LOC

So not forced into a "privateer" pit..can book paddock space. (Which might be good/bad, close or far) From the LOC (who'll gladly take your cash).

How does this "C Paddock: UCI MTB Teams, National Federations and open to any bookings, managed by each LOC" not mean privateer pits?

I listened to a podcast with Hill that somewhat contradicts this, it sounds like Hill and Page had significantly higher expectations of what the Foes deal was going to be, thinking race program etc, whereas foes weren’t ready for that level of commitment.

Because a national federation is not a privateer team.

I would think of privateer pits more like a bike open area where they can setup ans work, the c pits sounds like some of that and some of a 3rd team pit area where larger spaces can be secured for teams/federations.

Because in 2024 there were dedicated privateer tents at some WC races to accommodate those without ez-ups or tents etc..

The C paddock is the C paddock

Fair enough; I stand corrected.

Yeah I saw that too - I know the DH team (Oisin and Sian - And also Kolb) has been on their stuff for a while, I wonder if they decided to strike a deal with TRP/Fox for the enduro team now as well.

Wonder if Valli Höll will still be on Rockshox/sram stuff though? Dont think she's very keen on changing
