One was seen in Peaslake yesterday. Apparently it's now due in July.

Layout is like the Levo SL but without a motor

I don’t really plan on owning an e-bike soon.  But if I did it’d be something in this category.  Adventure rides in places that may not suit my pedal enduro bike and a cheap 2nd wheel set away from a fun commuter bike.  I get for most people the e-bike is for smashing their normal trails in way less time (or more runs).  But it’s not really what I would want one for.

I don't think a short travel eeb will keep you satisfied for long if you're already used to riding enduro bikes. Also, suspension seatposts on commuter eebs add a ton of comfort, and the storage racks on those bikes make them roughly 1,000,000x more practical for actual commuting.

That's pretty cool I'm not gonna lie. I wonder if the XS has a short enough wheelbase to fit on a bus rack? Grinning

Nothing ground breaking here, but Ratio are now selling Transmission cages. Pretty reasonably priced at £75 (sans pulleys) or £95 with.

I wonder what this aluminium piece attached to the brake caliper on Danny's bike is? Maybe something similar to this https://www.brakeprotec.com/en_GB/

How long was the rear hose? The test set I had the chance to try only had a 165 cm hose, barely fit on my bike. And the lever got a bit stiff after a few minutes of braking (longer or steeper descents), but I was on the factory bleed.

Let's be honest, people are downvoting comments on Lewis brakes because their marketing/brand HQ is in China, unlike every other brake company that has its marketing/brand HQ located in the West but has its products manufactured in China.

I'll double check with the shop that installed them. They didn't say anything about having to trim or swap out, though.

This is actually a cool product if it works, especially for commuter and gravel bikes that get hammered by gross puddles full of sediment. Could be cool for mountain bikes at a mud race, too. Never seen it before, so I'm a little curious and mostly suspicious.

Edit: looks like the off-the-shelf version that you can buy is 3D printed plastic, whereas Danny's version is billet aluminum. Aluminum seems way better for high heat/hard braking applications like downhill racing than sticking a plastic block under the head of your brake bolt.

I picked up a set for my Slayer without looking at the hose length... it's too short to work with the routing this bike has... My fault, but it was a major oversight on their part, in my opinion. Contemplating selling them instead of mounting them on a bike that I don't really need different brakes on.

I have a Slayer 29 and the shop said they had to trim a bit for the rear, so perhaps they're sending out inconsistent hose lengths? I wouldn't be super surprised, but who knows.

Anyone know anything about new stumpy or enduro from Specialized? Was Loic on a new bike for the mentioned shoot after Poland?

What I’ve heard from a dealer indicates the new enduro isn’t even on the horizon.
As mentioned above, new stumpy in a month or two, probably what Loic was riding/shooting the other week

Spotted in Leogang today, looks like Flight Attendant doesn't quite fit in the V10 frame... I haven't seen a remote reservoir on a bike since 2006!

Since we’re all making assumptions here, I’d assume downvotes are for reviewing a brake (that’s not secret or prototype) in the tech rumors thread.

Please end the discussion about that brake here and take it to the brake thread. I’ve nuked that last handful of replies about it and orig review.

and whoa that flight attendant reservoir!

Whose bike is that? Rockshox, V10, Conti, HT pedals, DT wheels, SRAM drivetrain and brakes, Burgtec cockpit. Maybe Miranda Miller?

This jives with what I’ve heard through the grape vine, as well.

Miranda is in Namibia according to her IG. Small custom frame builder there is building here a gravel frame, likely for her YouTube series.

Bingo! Looks like you are correct, I couldn’t quite figure out what the stickers on the fork said.

Have the extra buttons on the right side of Bruni's bars been mentioned before? I had only ever seen them on the left side for the shock, so perhaps something going on with the forks too for Leogang?

Loic has been using this set up since at least Fort William. Definitely looks to control something in the forks.
