Could be Tracer or Carbine since both are so far past due for an update. I believe the tracer is older so you're probably right that it is a Tracer. However, if this is the carbon version of the prototype Isabeau was on then it's a full on race bike and most likely a 29er (Carbine). Either way it looks like its gonna be awesome, especially with that storage box down there. I predict the carbine will go the route of all out race bike and tracer will be freeride fun bike (a-la Megatower/Nomad and Mega/Giga).
I wouldn't be shocked if there ends up being a mullet tracer and a carbine coming at the same time or using the same front triangle/design. Hopefully the geo isn't a bit dated like the primers were but the integrated storage and lower link style design looks promising, not to mention they still run their podium payback program which makes owning an intense worthwhile if you race in the US and just sandbag amateur races.

Whatever it is, it’s gonna be sick with the Dow tube storage!

downtube storage with access from the bottom is in my opinion way worse than the solution from specialized and trek where it's accessible behinde the bottle cage...
seems to me it's in the line of fire from all kinds of mud and grime and you need to tip over the bike to access it. I'd rather have a strap on my bike...

I agree with you there. I wonder though if this isnt the work around for not paying specialized for patent licenses.

Downtube storage is not patented AFAIK. Trek's newest bikes have it, and I am sure as hell that they do not want any money going in Specialized's direction Smile

I tend to agree with you there.
AFAIK the Forbidden Druid and Lapierre Zesty have a storage compartment in front of the bb under a plastic cover as well.
Seems to be more of a crutch to carry spares in case of mechanicals or flats, whereas the Spec/Trek solution is way more versatile.
Also I personally couldn't shake off the fear of simply ripping it off while riding...

Is that an exposed bottom bracket? Is anyone else doing that?

The bottom bracket is concentric with the bottom pivot, so the linkage will be "exposed" but the bottom bracket itself will be inside the aluminum (I assume its not carbon) link

Just to confirm, Vital did not pull that post. The brand did.

It really does look like a true session but that headangle looks weirdly slack doesn’t it?

Definitely an RS rear (you can tell by the SAG meter). Also, it may be the shadow, but it looks like there is a small kink/bump near the head tube much like Trek does on some of their smaller bikes.

Or somebody put a KHS label on a Trek because KHS couldn't/didn't provide a frame for a sponsored racer. Maybe KHS just doesn't have DH frames available right now because of the pandemic.

As it looks like no one reported it here, Trek is working on an high pivot dh bike. Check the pink site for some shots (sorry i can't take screenshots).

What are Vital's staff's feelings about posts like that? I hate to poop all over someones business and hard work, even when they are abrasive in their marketing responses. Looking at those photos and the builds for them, someone put in a lot of hard work, even if the frame kinematics are sub-optimal.

hamncheez, what do you mean? mullet made that post under their own account. if they want to delete it, they can. i was bummed to see it removed, but it was their call, and they sent an email letting us know they pulled it, so we knew what was going on.

Yeah, no it’s 100% a session. Just shows how KHS has entirely given up on bike development, might mean they continue to run a DH team but allow riders to choose frames and “white label” them

PSA: Sag isn't an abbreviation. It's a normal word.

"To sink, subside, or bulge downwards under weight or pressure or through lack of strength"

Probably the catalogue from mid last year that didn't have the geo numbers published...

BTW looking at Norco's site, looking at the sight, wasn't it published in C2 in a Shimano and in a Sram spec? Only the Shimano option is available currently...
