Did he shear the pedal off the crank? Holy cow! If I recall correctly, he's running E13 cranks, right?

Awesome to see one of these in the wild. @Martin_Vinje - How does it ride?

Why would you have to go and tell me that? I was already thinking of upgrading my bike with Zipps....

Hot damn! Sub-28 pounds?! That's almost too good to believe, especially with the Enve rims. Well done.

Added reply in a thread Is Trek hinting at a natural fiber construction? (EDIT: Nope, it's WaveCel helmet technology) 3/27/2019 2:34 PM

Do either of you know how/when the standards for the tests were developed? By that I mean, were they established pre-Josh Bender days when freeriding was more going down steep hills and "smaller jumps? Or are they updated periodically to reflect more ... more »

As someone who works on a marketing team, yeah....you're probably spot on. We tend to get a little carried away.

I don't know about most bikers, but I like cranks that are efficient in pedaling. The video didn't show either rider pedaling until the 1:14 mark. In fact, they showed Olly pushing his bike before anyone actually pedal.

But man, can Brendog and Olly fly....

I would add that myself and a few friends all noticed that TLD shorts sizing changed around 2016, we all bought a second pair of shorts (skyline I think), after loving the fit of the 2014-2015 ones and found the newer ones to be 1-2 sizes too big :/...more

Glad they confirmed. I have a few pairs of their Skyline shorts (purchased in the last 12 months) and all are size 30. For some unknown reason I bought the Resist shorts last winter as a size 32 and they were huge. A size 30 would be much better.

FWIW - I wear a size 32 in the Fox Ranger WP short.

I ran the first incarnation of this shorts and would strongly agree with the comments about the sizing. If you've never worn TLD shorts/pants, picking a size down from your normal size should work. However, if you frequently wear TLD gear, the sizing is still accurate.
