Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
Don't forget that Clif isn't in the game for as long as Greg has been!
Also, the Red Bull helmet didn't carry as much weight in the early 2000's as it does now.
And I can also remember that Steve Peat kinda had some Red Bull support way before he became a Monster athlete. Not officially branded, but I believe he had tight connections to them and he was always on their events, like the Lisbon urban DH and the Budapest metro race etc.
I guess the only way to find out is from the people themselves...

OUR DREAM TEAM CONTINUES
We are excited to announce that we are extending our partnerships with COMMENCAL and MUC-OFF for three more years.
Our long-standing relationship with COMMENCAL is as strong as ever. It is grounded in trust and a common goal and continues to grow in terms of developing, refining, and executing the processes and products. Our bikes have delivered us to the biggest race wins in the World and we couldn’t be happier to stay aboard COMMENCAL going forward.
Keeping these bikes in top condition is MUC-OFF. The past two years with MUC-OFF have elevated the team to new heights, allowing us to chase the biggest goals with the best support. We’re stoked to keep this relationship going.
The opening chapters of the COMMENCAL / MUC-OFF partnership have been very succesful, and we cannot wait to continue the story together through to the end of 2024.
New to the team in 2022 is TRP who we are delighted to welcome as our official brakes and drivetrain partners. TRP has come a long way in a short amount of time since entering the World Cup circuit. Their vision and commitment to reach the next level totally meets our own, and we are really looking forward to what we can achieve together.
TRP joins our current partners: FOX suspension, ENVE wheels, DHaRCO clothing, SCHWALBE tires, and BELL helmets. In striving to achieve the very best in our sport, we always aim to align ourselves with the best possible partners; companies whose products represent the pinnacle of technology, and whose people are as passionate and dedicated as we are. The relationships we have built with these partners over the past seasons represent so much of what is great about Downhill, from the attention to minuscule detail to the unbridled sense of stoke!
Alongside TRP, we also welcome 661 protection. They've been away from World Cup racing for a few years and we're happy to have them back with us. Lastly, BeeA Energy will help our riders to keep their energy levels high during training and race weekends.
We offer huge thanks to the following for their continued support: FIZIK (saddles), LIZARD SKINS (grips), FIVE TEN (shoes), HT (pedals), TUBOLIGHT (tire inserts), CN Spoke (spokes), OAKLEY (eyewear), CHRIS KING (hubs & headsets), RACEFACE (cranksets), e*thirteen (chain guides), MarshGuard (number plates & mudguards), BURGTEC (DH stems), Jagwire (cables & housings), UNIOR (tools), GoPro (cameras), Db (travel bags), Axxios Technology (anti-vibration sensors), Stendec (oils), Feedback Sports (bike stands & trainers).
It is with great pleasure that we announce that Myriam Nicole, Amaury Pierron, and Thibaut Dapréla have all signed contracts with the team until the end of 2024.
Their performance on the race track speaks for itself and we are extremely proud of the results these riders have achieved over the past years with us. However, they are far more than their results. Each has grown with the team, becoming an integral member of the crew who brings their own professional assets and personal quirks and helps form the family feels that we enjoy. Together we have created a winning environment in which Myriam, Amaury, and Thibaut can sustainably perform at the highest level, and we very much look forward to what’s to come.
Joining the Elite riders is Hugo Marini, a first-year Junior hailing from the south of France.
Hugo is a hugely talented young rider who has already established an impressive list of results. He is the reigning U17 European Champion and winner of the 2020 and 2021 French Cup and French Championship titles. Having joined the last two team camps, Hugo is quickly finding his feet and already gaining valuable experience. We hope that given the right support and environment - including the opportunity to learn from the very best riders in the sport - that he can continue his exciting trajectory as he steps onto the World Cup scene.
Alongside Hugo’s arrival, we are pleased to say that Tristan Lemire stays with the team, and thus, for the first time in the team's history, we have two Junior riders on the roster. Hugo and Tristan will be able to train, race, and learn alongside each other, and push and support each other as they negotiate their young careers.
And so, with our riders, staff, and partners in place, it’s almost time to go racing! We are as motivated as ever for the season ahead, and we can’t wait to get rolling.
Let’s make it a good one!

Honestly, their racing kit looks better than most stuff out there. Man, have we seen some utter boring jersey designs throughout the years...

I am wondering if I am the only one who isn't visually pleased by what he gets to see in the World Cup:
- a lot of black (photographers love you)
- distasteful jerseys with logos just thrown at them
- the Commencal logo
- stupid team names (Even if it's not visual per-se, it's still part of the identity of a brand, who on Earth cares about the Guerillas, Mobs, Gravity Republics and, erm, Riding Addictions out there, honestly?!)

Not to mention the waning excitement around announcements since it's sort of died out.
