Anne Caroline Chausson has more wins than Minnaar. He is not the greates of ALL time. He is the gratest current, though. Nico Vouilloz have more overall world cups and world champs, though, and "only" 16 WC wins. The GOAT hasn't ridden in competition for a few year now due to getting cancer twice... You must be talking about the wannabee GOAT Greg Minnaar who has a LONG LONG WAY to go to even catch ACC. He ISN'T even the GOAT of DH in the men's category!

maybe his square comment was a link to the pythagoras theorem. you know, the 2 sides of a rectengular triangle squared equals the third side squared. so the comment was meant for the triangle of the commencals rear end.

It's interesting that nobody does more than 1 year product cycles. With bikes you could easily have the same bikes for sale for 2 years, do a mid lifecycle refresh with some new gear if it gets updated and do some new colors, then after another 2 years you're putting out a new frame. Ordering and stock keeping would be easier, as you'd be ordering basically twice the number of parts, the marketing material would have a longer shelf life, etc.

Norco is in the ballpark of progressive geometry. The Shore's size L is almost similar with Pole Evolink 158 and Nicolai/Geometron G1 in size M. Long bikes are here to stay.

Well the bikes used to be more like that (remember khs going 29" on dh bike in ?2012, Barels moondrakers with HTA below 60° years ago, legendary honda g-cross, Vouillozes bikes etc.), many pros would ride custom bikes (to some extent) but now the difference with production bikes is almost nonexisting, especially with carbon molds and build in adjustability... The persionalization can now be found more in the suspension than geometries, these seem pretty dialed! Nevertheless I'm really curious if there will be some development in the direction of Grim donut because if experienced world class rider said there is...

A lot of these magazines are being pushed to publish this kind of content. Every ad seems to have an editorial tie-in. Anything to get ad revenue these days. It's across the board as the print industry continues to shrink. Expect to see more magazines shutting down. I'd hope to see them go independent again to get to publish the stories and content they want, and that means subscription based revenue. Look at AJ, SJ, etc -- slim on the ads, no advertorial, and $50+ subscription costs. Fewer issues with better content and production. That's all I want out of...
