Am I the only one who is NOT into the super steep seat tube angles? 76 is about as steep as I can handle before i feel cramped and my knees start hurting... I find myself slamming the saddle all the way back on bikes with >76 degree angles or wishing for an offset seatpost.

mntnmrtn Liked a product review 2018 Marin Rift Zone 1: Good Times for Less Money

-Awesome build and performance for the price -Threaded BB -Boost 12x148mm rear end -120mm travel front/rear (210x50mm rear shock) with great kinematics -Awesome customer support from Marin + 5-year warranty on the frame HOW I CHOSE IT I read a few European first rides of the bike and they all seemed very enthusiastic. The Hawk Hill (same suspension platform, with 27.5" wheels) reviews were also super positive, and I couldn't find any flaw in the bike itself. Having read an interview with Marin's MTB product manager, it seemed like that was the bike I was looking for, but it was...

In an attempt to gain a little clarity, at least in regards to the timeline, we reached out to Chris Ball (the managing director and founder of the EWS), here is what he had to say regarding this issue: [i]"We are aware of an ongoing inquiry by the French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD), but have yet to receive any formal notification of the process. Until that inquiry is completed and we are notified of the outcome we are unable to comment. We respect the formal process in place and will base any further action on the outcome of that process, not...

To each their own but the matchy match on the Yeti with the grips pedals hubs seat and cable housing is a bit much for me. Dude that owns it might shred but it just screams DDS bike to me. Someone got their feelers hurt. Just calling a spade a spade. Orange fork is rad the rest of it is trying way too hard.

Opposite end of the spectrum... I’m a former roadie that raced in high school and college. Made it to the state champs level where I usually podiumed. Took about two decades off and got into booze, then sport bikes and also dirt bikes and finally XC as a form of cross training for dirt biking. Now, I don’t own any...

Hey @badbietz, thanks for the constructive feedback. It's a great suggestion - I've updated the feature with this information now, and we'll keep doing it for apparel reviews going forward (measurements in Highlights, rider/model info at the bottom of the article). Thanks!

yzedf Added a comment about feature Vital MTB Face Off: The Best Heavy-Duty Disc Brakes

12/23/2017 7:48am
Yes, but how many times have we been told by testers that the new SRAM brakes are so much better than the last ones were. The excuses are wearing thin with a lot of readers out there. I know that on my Kona Operator my front brake Guide R has been perfect from day one, the rear has been junk. New lever assemblies, bleeds etc. To get a usable brake that lasts all day I need to use metallic pads and hope like crazy it doesn't rain. Supposedly next time it craps out they will "upgrade" me to the Codes...
