Pinkbike did a review that generated a lot of interest, both good and bad, and it was pulled offline (at the behest of Specialized?) as it had several issues, including that they didn’t seem to know if they were reviewing the 140 or 160 and if it was a mullet. Honestly it seems like the perfect bike for Vital, more about having fun on a more realistic budget. The problem is Specialized decided to do this weird gorilla marketing campaign and ended up with a soft launch of a new brand that pretty much fell flat.

Yeah, stock Saint Derailleur takes originally max 11-36 cassette. I was lucky enough to find one OneUp Rad Cage from Finland ( its discontinued product i think ), so derailleur works now with 11-42 cassette. After couple of first rides im in love with the drivetrain, 10 speed is enough for me in Enduro use and it works amazingly well!

Yea exactly what I did. Its incredible.... and rode the giga as 275 and also a mega 290... giga 275 mulleted (in progressive mode) with a EXT storia... weapon!

After living in chronic pain for over a decade and losing the ability to walk without limping...I strongly encourage DH racers to consider an alternative state of mind. Once upon a time I was in that head space and it backfired -- horribly.

“The mods I recommended on MC isn't more for performance than it is for comfort.” Do you even know what’s in that wall of text of yours? Please, tell me again how a damper with minimal support works better and makes a rider/racer faster by running thinner oil? That will help with friction of the damper at the beginning of the stroke by slightly reducing its break away force, but now you are accelerating even faster into the mid to deep travel events that overwhelm the damper causing more bottom outs on coil and requiring going up a spring, or...

Some of us think a brand new fork from a major brand should work out of the box. If you love machine built flow trails then I guess motion control damper is ok.

That damper was a jack hammer in a coil 2017 Boxxer I had. Can’t believe anyone would like it now.

Storing tools in the cockpit seems like a pretty straightforward thing, but there’s a lot going on in this area of the bike and the good old starnut has been getting in the way of progress here. Hmm, looks like a huge gap going from grid gravity to grid trail, and the rear focused t7 is too light for trail riding. They seem to revamp the line every other year, but refuse to spec the right amount of rubber per application.

They’ve really made a mess of their tire selection the last couple years. Are they updating the Slaughter? A 29x2.4 grid trail t7 or grid gravity t7/t9 would be nice.
