First of all, I'm a I9-fan, but why? Install it and forget it! Okay that's not possible you can’t forget/ignore your I9 because: A - of great sound B - the nice finish - its an eyecatcher 😇 I have always two wheelsets for my main bike (Santa Cruz Megatower). Note: if you want a second wheelset for quick changing without a adjust brakes or shifting, use the same hub manufacture/model, same disk rotors and same cassette. It was last spring, in the beginning of this pandemic that has turned our lives upside down, when we were having heated debates in the Technical Rumours topic regarding suspension, forks, dual crowns, right-side-ups, upside-downs, axle diameters, etc., when I mentioned much of it could be checked using finite element simulation. It was a great project to get into FEA and to have a cool result, but, as is usual for a master procrastinator without a deadline, it took a while to get it done. But get it done I did! Seems like it’s always mentioned which is good but I can’t believe how many people won’t even stop and move a small branch/medium size branch off a trail. Pretty embarrassing when you see how many riders use the trails and how few are willing to even give 2-3 mins of time.

My resume would read; just over 200lbs in riding gear, rides 100+ times a year on single track, has dented or broken every alloy rim I’ve owned on the last several bikes. Doesn’t matter if oem or custom. Also break rear hubs, dropper posts, pedal bearings and rear tires. I’m really good at getting Fox csu to creak. This is while trying to ride semi cautiously as I have two young kids at home...

Irony at the end being that privateers would have the hardest time affording Roll Offs for their goggles if they did away with Tear Offs. Fantastic article none the less.
