4/6/2025 7:39am Watched a guy at the Monster Pro DH in Cat 1 snap his top tube ripping through a 90 degree berm. Irony being he didn’t realize it. I heard it clear as day & was telling people around me “I just heard his bike snap”. He hits the 3 flat hucks Neko built to “break test frames” & on the 3rd one the down tube made a crunch sound & that was it. Said he’s had it for 2 weeks. JRA !

4/3/2025 11:32am This is a wild guess, but I've been looking at the chart on the website and I think that the 237mm stack height you're referencing on 175mm drop posts might be referring to the entire top of the seatpost, not just the "collar to saddle rail" stack height that we're used to measuring. For instance, I'm looking at the 250mm seatpost and the total post length is listed as 652.8mm, the minimum exposed height is 314.2mm, and the maximum frame insertion is listed as 338.6mm. 314.2mm exposed height + 338.6 frame insertion = 652.8mm, which is the entire length of...

3/27/2025 6:23pm Less power then codes is not enough power for trail biking where I live fwiw. My minimum brake is code, metallic pads and 200mm hs2 rotors and that can be really pushing it on some of the big mountain descents we have here.

3/25/2025 4:24pm Can’t decide if they are cool because they look moto or if they are lame because it means I’m trying too hard to look moto. Would be nice for all those thorny bushes by the river though.

3/24/2025 6:55am The orbea almost looks too low for a regular 4-bar layout, even with a trunnion. Unless the rocker is Intense rocker long. Thoughts?

3/22/2025 6:46am Isn't kickstarter supposed to be for new, innovative products or companies? I don't think a middle of the road alloy wheelset from an existing company fits that description.

3/19/2025 10:57am 181cm tall and find a 150mm drop to be plenty. Even at 150mm I don't regularly drop it all the way. I scratch my head at how people find a need for 200+mm droppers.

3/19/2025 10:56am If the seat tube was 415 I would still only need a 150-175 length dropper. It’s clearly not in the way. It’s also roughly the same height as my last 3 dh bikes.

3/18/2025 3:09pm This is wild. I'm 6 feet on the dot, and my new bike came with a 170 mm dropper. I rode it nine times before my 210 was delivered. The 170 functioned as it should - went up and down - but it was getting in the way of how I ride and maneuver a bike. A few years back I was on the "a dropper is just a dropper" side, but after upgrading to a post with more drop, I can never go back. It made a bike I had for 2 years feel like a completely new (and...

3/17/2025 6:54pm j/k, of course. I have really short legs proportionally so I feel like this guy a lot. KotH still pops up in my brain all the time. It's been 10 years since I've seen an episode and some of the jokes manifest themselves in my brain weekly.
