I know it kinda sounds like moaning, but nevertheless, an epilogue (apparently). Since I last posted my above comments, I was on the line with the US customer support (who at least replied and said they will try to ping the EU reps). The EU reps first answered on 25th september (almost a month since the first email), then there was radio silence (I was in contact with the US reps and periodically pinged the EU e-mail in the mean time) until 2 days ago. I find the continental to be one of the more stiff casings. I'm a serial tire burper in corners, it's one of the few that keeps the sealant and air inside the tire. The radials feel very disconnected in comparison. Great on tech, but a bit weird in mach chicken corners.

Not correlated! I know that Alan, who's in charge of Enduro, is very committed. He is doing a lot of work behind the scenes to make changes that will help Enduro, I am excited for what he has in store. Excited enough to come out of retirement for a race or two in the future. Masters class is only a few years away for me.

12/20/2025 11:05am There's not much riding on a mountain bike that I can't do on an e-bike because of the extra weight. The steering stop headset that some of the have isn't that big of a deal usually either.

Here’s the thing. People get hired into positions of power. They start thinking “I gotta do something!!!” The problem begins when “do something” turns into “change the thing”. The “something” they could do is at all costs protect the core identities that surround the current position. With all the current fuck-ups in business branding you’d think some lessons had been learned. Nope, they can’t help themselves. I said it is lame and not very comfy and that I prefer the real feel of the grip in my hands. The DH casing HR3 has a different sidewall from the other Maxxis DH tires. The sidewall has a thicker layer of rubber near the bead that can be easily felt by hand when the tire is deflated. I haven't seen any marketing or info from Maxxis about the differences though which makes me think they're cooking up a different/better option (radial?)
