Wow, with all due respect to Tinker, this is one of the most pretentious posts I've ever read in the bike industry. Is C-Dale just supposed to pay him indefinitely? I didn't even know he was still riding let alone "ambassadoring".

We would have all been wonderfully happy riding $1000 bikes equipped with Zee brakes, MaxxGripp tires, 135mm rear spacing & any brand of pinch clamp splined cranks by now. Buttttt....nope. Profits first.

Pole have added more materials to their bikes and their production process has matured. A friend of mine swapped a Machine to a Stamina 160. The frames were the same weight despite the Machine had lots of steel screws in it to hold the two halves together. But the Stamina 160 was apparently much more playful and poppy. Their customer support doesn't seem to be humble, though. My friend had some issues with tolerences on the seat tube, which was not a problem with the frame apparently. It was the seat post. New seat post and still no good fit...

The problem isn’t that it wasn’t, it’s that being cracked is the first conclusion drawn. If it was many other brands I would have wondered if it was first but with pole I am more surprised it isn’t.

Alloy stumpy Evo is happening, looks like a carryover of the carbon models geometry and features. So yes, it has a Swat box. Comp and Elite builds as well as a frame only.

Sorry man, but several of my friends had them (SB5/6) when we were guiding in the Alps. They got good deals from Yeti back then. Everyone went through at least 1 swingarm and all had significant wear on the link despite very regular maintenance (full strip, not just greasing). All in less than 4 months of use. I was always tempted, but seeing what they all experienced, properly put me off ownership. The sixfinity has definitely piqued my interest again, even if it has more bearings. Hopefully they won't just restrict the design to their ebike(s) even though they've said...

That doesn't change the fact that in case of problems it's much easier, cheaper and faster to source standard bearings than it is to source a custom component.

A few trashed bearings are way cheaper to replace than a proprietary Kashima infinity link.

The technology is less important than the ability to market stuff... Fancy words sell things, not the capability of the product, at least all too often that's the case. What I'm wondering is how long it will take for all Yeti bikes to get 6-bar suspension instead of the slide link that they currently use.

Yup, it's been discussed here quite a bit. As for the freewheel, it doesn't change anything, the kickback stays the same. The benefit is the you can shift while coasting as the drivetrain still moves. But I'm still irked by the fact the cassette pushes the chain forward or pulls it through the derailleur. Which is tighter with modern clutch derailleurs, but still not the same as pulling it forward from the front over the cassette... Plus, what happens if the chain derails itself? I mean other than instant drivetrain detonation.
