Who needs sources? This is for rumors, gossip, hearsay, innuendo, buzz, scandal, fuss, intimate intelligence, lowdowns, juicy morsels and tittle tattle. Sources just ruin the fun. We have two more months before good byes and welcomes start so fill'r up with all the hoaxs, fabrications, swindles, spoofs and fibs you can concoct. Jackson to SC would be interesting. Young blood on the team with Greg and Laurie to guide him into the big leagues.

Form the last couple of years, I have read all the post in these threads for some years now, and it seems there was a lot of bait in the social media. And from what I can read here, I am not on any platform, this aspect seems to be missing this year. Is there a change in marketing budgets this year? A different strategy? Is the Covid disruption of the normal contract cylces a result in less movement between teams? Somethin is up with rumors this year and last year. This thread does not follow its "normal" flow of...

That's the Clash vs the Furious for single crown and DH, the Furious has been their park bike for the last 4 years after the supreme went high pivot.

Snore. Boring as f***. It seems if you're not part of the good old boys click it doesn't matter what you do. If you're in with them you can flip ad nauseam down the hill and get in the finish coral for the circle jerk.

No wonder he does not have a new sponsor given the fact the he goes on about how the new bikes of his previous sponsor are worse than the old ones :D

Looks like Zinc is not the easiest rider in connection with business. The whole story makes him unsympathetic in that respect (also for sponsors). It's funny that he still doesn't have a new sponsor.

"If anyone else is interested, it worked just fine for me, and I'm sure it isn't recommended by anyone officially, but boy does it work well out on the trails. So much so that I downsized rotors, which I've never done before." I ran the same setup for a while (but with Magura rotors) and I also had no issues. They seemed to go through brake pads fast, that was my only complaint. Loved the huge amount of power. They were super short throw at the lever but I still felt like they had good modulation, it was just over...

Some people prefer that to the feel you get from Sram brakes. Different folks, different strokes.

I had to laugh when Zink is going on about Geometry, kinematics, starts ripping on Gwin and how he's building custom frames in Taiwan etc etc (ok mate whatever) 15 seconds later, the presenter asks him about his rear shock and he doesn't know how much pressure is in it or clickers etc, "but it has a custom tune...."

I have a feeling Zink had a deal with Transition for 2021 BUT his Insta Post from earlier this year we he had to make an apology nixed the deal. Transition employee made a goodbye post right after Zinks post.

Bit late to the Tinker chat but it seems like he was expecting more of a pension than a salary. I know the guy’s done a lot for the sport but seriously my gran has a better Instagram page. Would not want that page to be representing my brand in any way. It’s a shame because all it would take is for Cannondale to pay for a decent phone and some basic social media training and I’m sure they could market the shit out of him.

He had a deal locked in with Hyper and then he dropped his homophobe nonsense on IG. Hyper and shimano dropped him on the spot. Rumor was that he is working on a frame of his own but who knows. Between the homophobia, the street racing stunt and the misogyny oozing out of Sensus I’m surprised the guy has any sponsors at all. Yes cancel culture is bullcrap but when a guy shows time and time again what trash he is he deserves the cancellation.

Fully agree. It certainly makes sense for Dorel to focus brands onto the disciplines where they are much better identified with. I am surmising that there must have been a disconnect somehow between the strategy planning in Dorel vs the decision makers in CDale a couple of years ago. In any case, I'm genuinely gutted for Tinker (he was in all the magazines back in the day), but Kirt Voreis has shown us what can be done if you dust off the bad shit of the past and adapt to the new ways of promoting bikes in the new millennium...
