Yo Ken - Check out the carbon part of the lower shock mount between the two frames. They are definitely different, but could just be different sizes. However HT length is also off by 5mm per size between models, so it seems like at least different front triangles.

Samsquatch Added a reply to Shimano... Magura... Shigura Brake Setup

10/14/2021 9:12am
"If anyone else is interested, it worked just fine for me, and I'm sure it isn't recommended by anyone officially, but boy does it work well out on the trails. So much so that I downsized rotors, which I've never done before." I ran the same setup for a while (but with Magura rotors) and I also had no issues...

Samsquatch Added a comment about feature Thank you, Brandon Turman

9/23/2020 1:37pm
I remember taking Brandon straight to one of the steepest DH trails in town with a really intimidating drop in for his day of testing the original Sentinel and SBG Patrol. Brand new bikes never ridden... He cruised down the road a hundred feet to try and bed the brake pads in. After that... game on! Pretty rad to be able to take a "media guy" on that kind lap over and over. Such a fun day riding and testing.

Samsquatch Added a comment about press release Yamaha's New, Interesting, e-MTB is Here

7/29/2020 9:36am
People are going to point out that KTM already has e-bikes, but that is the shared/licensed brand name under different ownership. That being said... Husqvarna is already making e-bikes under the actual KTM/Husky parent company. Unlike Yamaha, they aren't making the motor though...

I'm one of the first to say how stupid the 52T cassette, in current form, is. I've said it on Pinkbike and I've said it here, in the tech rumours thread. And like I said, I hate that they just did +2 on the last cog to effectively +1 Shimano and called it a day. To me that's kindergarten engineering/marketing, done just and only to be one better than your competition and hardly providing any benefit to the end user (except for the ~4 % lighter lightest gear). And you introduce a relatively bit jump between the gears. I’ve written...

I was 3+ years in and nachos after a late night out ended me. Now I basically only eat cheese. All the cheese. Good tip! I will take out my pocket cheese and see if I can do better on Strava.

About 6'3-6'4" or so. I've ridden both the XL and the XXL and just wanted the added stability of the bigger bike.

First of all... something must have slipped through the cracks, because we never want to leave anyone hanging. I'm sorry if you did't get taken care of at the time, but send us a message again if there is anything we can do for you now. We happen to be using an entirely different carbon facility since the frame you...

It's definitely not designed as a "mullet" bike but we don't discourage people from tinkering and experimenting. It won't void your warranty or anything. But some things to keep in mind... the wheel radius / axle height if the 29 wheel is already about 20mm higher to begin with, but shortening a fork by 20mm in travel doesn't account for...
