Giant engineers laughing all the way to the bank. Have any of them put a pen to paper since 2014?

or is it the patent for sag increments on the fork? That DVO font is ironically hilarious. Only thing that could top that is some wordart.

Not to through shade on Trinity, but a lot of the cost will be from "wasted" devlopment time as well, you could see with their first few iterations that they were trying to reinvent the wheel a bit, as opposed to taking accepted and perfectly functional ideas and just implement it on their frame geometry (specifically about bearing seating and pivot hardware). A great contrast is Neko used Transition bearing and pivot kits (collet style main pivot etc) as it saved him from making custom parts, and its a great robust solution that you can buy for cheap. Trinity didn't...

$1600 for a shock is crazy expensive. For that amount of money I would much rather buy a cheaper shock (like a RS) and spent a few days with a tuner to get a revalve for my speed and weight, and have a better performing shock overall.

Not really a tech rumor, but if carbon flexstay S-works prototype spy shot cross country race bikes have chainguides in 2023, everyone should have a chainguide. Case closed.

price is insane.... better to pickup a used one and have it modded for $160. Or just buy the new RS and save yourself 1k.

Another rumor is that Trek has a new Supercaliber coming as well. It would be hilarious if they ditched the current layout (which is a complete nightmare for suspension service), and left it for Speshy.

Aston is an extremely self-assertive, provocative, insufferable and overall not very intelligent person. He's seriously claiming that the frame he designed himself is, unequivocally, the single best mountainbike in existence - at every discipline. Better than literally everything else ever, made by any manufacturer. That should tell you all you need to know about him.

If they watched too much Paul Aston they would have given it 500mm chainstays as well instead of the 430ish that it has now. I used to like the guy but insisting that every single brand (except maybe Banshee?) has wrong bike geometry turned me a bit off from his channel. sorry for the OT
