I thought there was no way this was true, but yeah it sure seems like it. It's super sensitive to miniscule changes but there's almost no way it's actually 170mm, and if anything it's closer to 180mm. I guess sometimes it "rides like it has more travel than it does" because, well, it actually does.

I thought the Nicolai Nucleon 16 looked a bit "busy" with the idler and rear LAL derailleur, and maybe it's the angle/lighting, but this Slash with both pulleys, big chain slap guard, long rear fender, chunky seat tube, shock mount etc. brings me late 90's vibes too. It probably rides great, but with the swoopy tube junctions and straighter/angular rear end, the lines don't flow that well IMO and it looks a bit "unfinished" in the industrial design department. In front of a white background with studio lighting, it would probably look more finished. My 0.02$.

Can’t say I’ve seen this bike before, so I’m guessing it’s something new from fezzari? That’s nik nestoroff on the bike. New dh bike? Or long travel bike with a 40?

My first thought when I saw this post was that Fox should probably sort out their non-hollow normal crowns before they start casting cavities and holes in them.

While Loic and Finn's bikes are indeed oddly glued to the ground, to say that Fox and RS can only offer clicky adjustments is just not true. Fox offers multiple tune options on rear shocks to athletes and custom ones to the top athletes (most notably Greg). RS does the same.

At least they drew it from there and not those miserable dual arch Magura forks.

As seen in pit bits video. Mondraker now mounts to rear triangle, not lower link. It has adjustable rear triangle plates for stiffness and bolt in BB bracket. Even though it looks like the old frame, I bet it ride’s completely different!

Yeah noticed the same thing when watching it. The track itself looks good and better than it has been but looks like a lot of the opportunity for line choice has gone.

Perhaps. The other end of the shock is attached to rear triangle instead of lower link, like their other bikes. That can only change the leverage ratio, not the wheel path, anti squat, or anti rise. Right? All of those things could be changed on the new version too, but fundamentally it's still a dual link bike. I'm not saying it's a trivial change, but it's not exactly massive or ground breaking. Seems hardly worth hiding with a cover? But the cover is probably half for marketing anyhow. I mean, with their sponsored racers practically openly hating on the prior...

Meta v5... finally we are seeing the end of "go longer reach" Some damn good rider at crankworx said to me: "long reach is a selling point for riders who are learning, such as kids, once you know how to go straight its time to go downhill " - he went on to talk about how its common to see young kids riding next size up frames or being on an adult size earlier than they should be. By his "time to go downhill" reference is: DH bikes generally have shorter reach to stand the rider up so they can...

Spotted in Vital's Pit Bits. Looks like the Pivot uses an eccentric mounting between the seatstay and rocker? Guess it's just a way of fine tuning BB height, head angle etc.
