I just got a Transition Relay. I'm a bit nervous reading about all the reliability issues of the Fazua motor. havent rode it yet as its still snow and wet on the trails. I think more and more will be going to the Bosch SX for light weight ebikes.

Riding most of that track would be fun. Racing it would be terrifying!

what about applying it drunk the night before a ride, spilling half the lube on the floor then wiping the excess off the chain with a rag which is my current go to method?

Slight deviation from 1vs.2 piece calipers, mechanical transmission, and Giant's terrible naming...But you are all lubing your chain wrong Wink RotaLuber has started making this interesting oil applicator tool that disperses oil at the link pin and roller. They did send me one, and it works well with little fuss or mess. I wouldn't say it's something I can't live without now (I've haphazardly lubed my chain the same way for years, and things have been fine), but for those who want the right tool for every job, this likely scratches that itch. From RotaLuber: RotaLuber is designed to deposit...

TLDR: More volts = more betterer for design, and battery requirements, but not a huge impact to the end user if the design is done right. Complicated question and answer. There isn't a massive reason to favor a 48v system over a 36v system. The biggest advantage to a higher voltage system is within the formula/equation for current/watts/amps. Said another way... Amps = Watts / Volts. Here is an example... Assuming 750w power request/output by the motor. 750 watts / 48 volts = 15.6 amps 750 watts / 36 volts = 20.8 amps Batteries are generally more efficient the less...

Long stroke the shock to 65mm and get 160mm, slap a 170mm fork on. Different paint, minimal investment???

If the niche for 32" wheels is people over 6'6" tall, it's hard to make a business case for making them. If the niche for 26" wheels is people under 5'6" tall, that's much easier to justify because not only are there grown adults under 5'6" tall, every adult who is over 5'6", was at some time under 5'6".

Here's a Slayer prototype frame built in 2018 IIRC. I have another example of an earlier prototype built with a chip that allowed a low or mid-height main pivot. I'll have to fire up my external drive (cough I'm old..) to get a photo.

Part of hope brake I really like, it is still messy to bleed any brakes, and rug with mmm drop of dot is not uncommon for any bleed process, at least from my experience

fox asked to remove it, so i did. it wasn't public information. the difference between a trackside leak, rider leak or an admin mistake that a brand makes on a website.

My initial reaction (well, next after "I want to give that a try") is that these will exert a torque on the BB shell that it doesn't normally experience, because the pedal load is now cantilevered and applied directly rather than transferred radially by a crankshaft, and I wonder what that means long term. Edit: Threaded BBs are already slightly cantilevered, since the bearings are external to the frame, but only by that very small offset distance. So this might not necessarily be a new force, but I think it will be significantly greater.

I just made an account to make this comment, I'm the guy in that video. They definitely felt bizarre and completely wrong the first couple days with them, which is all we showed in the video. After riding them more I started to love them, and I'll get them on again once the bike park opens. They're not an advantage...
