The American Continental series seems to fall pretty flat this year, it's just too spread out and kind of a joke. To really compete, you'd have to travel to south, central and north America over 9 months. That's a big chunk of travel to move though. I'm sure there are enough venues and races to have a few feeder series races in all 3 parts and then that can make riders from those areas shine. There’s a big gap between “no one can get hurt doing it” and “20% of the people who did it will need months of rehab”. If 20% of the fighters on a boxing card ended up in the hospital requiring surgeries, I don’t think you’d see a lot of them, even if fighters were up for it. Notes on the points standings after 8 races: Women Elite: Vali Höll is now in 1st by 127 points over Gracey Hemstreet with 2 races remaining. Her consistency has to make her a solid favorite to win the overall for the 3rd straight year. Men Elite: Loic Bruni moved into 1st place by 100 points over Jackson Goldstone. He was 195 points back after 5 races. A few notes: I'm pretty sure Tahnee Seagrave and Amaury Pierron are the only riders to qualify in Q2 and go on to win the race. Vali Höll has now earned more than 200 points in 7 consecutive races. The lowest amount of points she earned this year was 170 in the first race of the season. She has also been on the podium in 7 straight races, which also leads all Elite riders. Jackson Goldstone's 65 points in today's race is his lowest point total for a race where he qualified in Q1.
