8/31/2025 10:25pm I hate to be even mentioning the subject again but could all the people making snide comments about a certain relationship stop and think about how the younger party feels about having her private life as a topic of conversation? Most of the people frowning on the relationship probably waffle on about mental health constantly while being oblivious to the effect their own comments have on people. I'm all for free speech but these professionals are entertaining us and putting their lives on the line for peanuts and some readers of these Mtb sites are talking trash about riders private...

8/27/2025 2:38pm Lol, wtf am i getting dragged into this for. But gives me a better idea of who went to the hassle to make a fake linkedin a few months ago to sh** talk me there of all places. As far as which US races get points, go to the UCI calendar on the uci website and filter down to the mtb races specific to the US (or any country you want). It'll tell you which class it is. Last couple pages of the rule book UCI MTB Regulations will tell you how many points that event is worth. earlier in...

7/7/2025 6:19am I wasn’t raininv that hard to make a big difference. Most people at the finish area weee still hanging out in tshirts and shorts. A camera went down. Imagine the outrage if they went ahead and didn’t broadcast the last 5 riders.

7/4/2025 10:31am "2. Closing a feature to a single group of contestants alone is wrong. Build a course that is rideable for everyone! Also junior woman." Can't get behind this take. The difference in ability between elite men and junior women is massive. They should instead make a more interesting B-line than just a wooden ramp to the side, should make it more enjoyable for the riders.

6/22/2025 2:11pm An EXTREMELY simplified explanation of why video gets blurred: The more detail in an image, the more data is required to describe that image. There's a limit to how much data cameras can capture in real time, how much they can send in "real time," how much broadcasters can send in "real time," how much internet service providers can receive and send in "real time," and how much your TV provider can send in "real time." The downstream folks tell the upstream folks how much they can handle. The on-site broadcast is assembled in real-time and sent to the folks...

6/10/2025 10:29pm hold on, so the fans want more races, more new venues, more sick tracks BUT the venues, regions or towns that pay for the right to host said new tracks etc. are not allowed have their name mention on live TV? Why? Cos it's not core? Make it make sense 😁😅

6/9/2025 5:32am If you listen to the latest Downtime podcast, it was Neko who invited Ken and set up the whole thing. I can't help but feel that people are in the habit now of only seeing everything from a purely negative perspective - maybe we could all get a grip and stop whinging 100% of the time...

6/6/2025 4:13am @sspomer any chance that you can promote/post the q2 replay to the front page? I didn't look at the q2 results from the Loudonville and was able to watch it without spoilers. It was tricky as I had to cover both eyes and scroll the form to find it. Makes for a fun pre-race race if you can catch it spoiler free.

6/5/2025 4:20am It's got to be tough for Wyn at the moment. At the tail end of his riding career the entry conditions have tightened, his principal long standing sponsor has been wiped from existence by PON and he isn't going to be on the shortlist at many races for one of the four NZ jerseys as days go by. His output seems to be getting increasingly more negative with each round and there are enough grumpy old men on the internet pulling cheap tricks for engagement already. The "Only asking the questions everybody wants to hear" style of casting isn't a...

6/4/2025 3:19pm Just want to throw praise Finn Iles way after his brillliant response to Wyns questions regarding the WBD broadcast on the wyntv Leogang track walk Video. I personally think Wyn has too much of a negative take generally regarding World Cup racing these days and it shows in his questions - Finns thoughtful response with suggestions to improve the current package without tearing anyone to shreds was great.

6/4/2025 8:28am Regarding " And we are losing people perfectly capable of winning the race on race day from participating..." this one is interesting to me. If they are perfectly capable of winning on race day, then they are surely capable of qualifying for one of the 30 spots. A few other people have expressed the same opinion "but we are losing some of the fast guys now..." which seems to imply that the new qualifying format is somehow putting some of the fast guys at a disadvantage? I think there's definitely a generational shift going on, and many of the riders...

5/29/2025 10:36pm I really want to ask a UCI official what the middle pole signifies... And see if they can give a coherent response. AGAIN, if it was a different color it could mark 'danger' in the way painted rocks do. Like hey you don't want to be riding here cuz it leads to a tree, or a gap jump, or there's a hole in between these two lines. That's sensible enough. But as it's not a different color, and it's a crap color thats probly hard to see at race pace among the foliage... It seems pointless. And if it marks...
