Exactly, after switching back and forth between carbon and aluminum the last few years the performance hasn't changed much. Maybe weight in the end product, but the bike still works. Suspension, tires and likely even spoke tension play more to how the bikes rides than material on an Enduro bike. Hardtails and road bikes, sure then it matters, but a big plush fully? Not really.

It is and since freeride is going to make a comeback we are working on an over-center style link that will keep your bike bottomed out once it gets there to really maximize the freeride.

9/20/2020 12:09am I think you could get pretty close to a full North American build if you were building up a singlespeed cross bike. Velocity rims, Paul brakes, Paul and White Industries drivetrain. You can get a road-nerd carbon one-piece bar and stem from "Predator Cycling." In 1992 I didn’t think it could get any better than my Giant ATX. In 1994 I was convinced my Trek 8000 was the pinnacle. In 1999 a DBR X6 was my first full suspension bike. USA made with a Marzocchi Junior T with a QR axle. That was definitely the shit. Then in 2002 I got a Bullit with a Super T. Best bike ever! In 2013 I got my first 29er trail bike. Changed my world. But now it’s 2020 and I can’t imagine riding any of those old bikes or any of the in-betweeners I didn’t mention...
