Gonna back up Brandon on this one. If an XL isn't the intended size for a 6'5" tester, I don't know what world we're living in.

I really enjoy these videos. This video could just as easily be titled "how to make the same old ride less boring" or "how not to be a pussy." I love doing all of those things when I ride the same old trail for the thousandth time. Good tips all. Thanks team Vital + Art.

Yes. I've had housing crippled from shuttling, and just last month I had my brake hose saw-bladed completely in two under my downtube by a rock flying off the front tire. So yes, this cable routing sucks. I thought the same thing about the rear suspension setup. The Vital test riders know all the suspension tweaks you mentioned, so methinks there's something they're not saying...

Proof that if you hold out long enough everything eventually goes full CYCLE, well except for gearboxes... PS: I will continue to wear my hydration pack since it carries a lot more than water, and is VITAL for building "interesting, sustainable trails." PSS: The feed on Team Robot concerning IMBA was spot on! PSSS: I invented the term ProCore. True Story

I thought Rennie used to destroy shocks on the V10.3 with the 2.75" . Maybe with the improved shock rate and better damped shocks they don't have this issue.

I kept eating shit when I ran my bike with a 550 and relatively normal damping settings. I stopped eating shit when I ran my shock either a) undersprung and over-damped, or b) mega-sprung with regular damping. Kiran, this is literally exactly the same conversation I have with bike company engineers every single year. I like-a the spring rate. I probably just suck at riding and you should accept my ill-advised bandaid solutions for what they are.

There is no mention of a longer chainstay for XL sizes in any of the other V10.6 coverage, and none of the geo charts show a longer chainstay in any of the sizes. Also it comes with a shorter shock now, a 2.75". I was already running a 600 pound spring on my 2014 V10, and the equivalent spring rate for the new shorter shock is 650. Yikes.

Dude what is the deal with the XXL size? First it says it has a 727mm reach in high position, then a 467mm reach in low. This is a joke right? Tall people of the world want to know.

I hope videos and how-to's like this reveal the absurdity of internal cable routing and convince product departments the world over to stop subjecting us to this crap.

It's a good thing those guys were wearing all that spandex. The wind resistance must have been unreal at those speeds. You know your sport sucks when someone like palmer 'revolutionizes' the world by just showing up to an event in actual clothes.
