Every loss should be tragic to anyody but it feels harder when that's someone I've been shuttling and practicing with for the last few days. Just doing our things together brings a sense of brotherhood, Unlike some other sports, I really feel a strong bond and sense of community in DH racing, especially in this field of the cat1 19 to 70+. All these guys are true heroes, dedicated racers only doing it for true passion. The pros are cool but the cat1 is truly the core of the sport, we are the guys buying gears, supporting local events and...

Track looks awesome! Love the old school flat grassy corners and natural terrain! This tyoe of terrain makes for really fun racing. Reminds me of Mt Snow, VT. Very stoked to see local DH racing popping up in so many places in the US.

3/3/2023 7:52am Side bar. Rock Creek is awesome and nearish to Asheville, but the surrounding infrastructure is limited. Plus, no lift to the top. Just a U-Haul and trailer. But I could be wrong, as I would be skeptical about running to Nationals races at the same place. Creek is just more accessible and has lifts, hotels and more within 15 minutes.
