Looks like an ebike with a Shimano controler on the left of the bar and the usual shimano screen near the stem. Interesting if there is a new version of the ebike with a Shimano system.

I don't think it is particularly offensive or in poor taste, just not great marketing: There is no way I'm opening Vital at work (open space) while that ad pops up on my screen, and there is absolutely no way I would click on it.

Yup I agree, I honestly thought that ad was just some banner for wish.com or banggood.....not an actual mtb company. It was pretty hard to tell it had anything to do with bikes? Poor judgement went on here IMO

I've been telling people for ten years that my single pivot DH bike that I made was maximum rising rate. (The swing arm and shock are at ninety degrees to each other at full bottom out.

thing looks like it has a wicked rising leverage ratio. I hope I'm wrong, but you'll have to run all the air spacers and all the high speed compression to keep it off the bottom.

Forgive me if I'm tripping. But don't you mean falling rate? Is my terminology backward?

Yeah, that phrase confused me for a while too. Rising rate means the shock is underleveraged at first (low leverage rate, aka hard to squish) and then is overleveraged at the end (high leverage rate, easy to squish). I don't know what this frame's leverage rate is, but hamncheez is correct that a rising rate is the opposite of what most people want in a modern aggressive mountain bike. We want soft off the top and hard to bottom out, instead of stiff off the top and easy to bottom out. Luckily, whatever the leverage rate was, it didn't seem...

Hi Krabo I had my SB150 with a Coil and a Link from Cascade (made it more progressiv an 155mm). But already compared to that "SB155" the SB160 feels kind of smoother and stiffer! Always hard to tell...what makes the difference. New Bikes are always silent...that makes you feel faster The Uphill feels slightly better bc you sit more centrel in the bike - thats a plus for sure, bc i pedale up on my rides around 1500-2000 vertical meters.. but on the other hand she's slightly heavier (ok - on my built I didn't care about weight). You...

YouTube video provides context the other ads lack. Not that it isn’t going to be a little offensive to some but it’s at least got a bit of humor and includes women other than their posterior. I’m not offended by any of it really but i had the same reaction thinking the banner ad was inappropriate and lame.

I've used their saddles, I've used their chamois/Bib, i've met a few people from this brand, all thumbs up in my experience. But, today seeing the takeover and little icons of g-string/etc asses all over my home page, it wasn't for me, especially as some of you said about a day when 2 incredible women riders dropped some great videos....I guess it's even more ironic the banner ad on the side of this forum topic is a kid selling overalls lol

The Giga is the ultimate park bike, and I feel like with the linkage-driven single-pivot suspension design, it does a slightly better job of pumping, generating speed in corners and jumping. But I feel like the Horst link design of the Mega does a slightly better job tracking the ground in general, especially under heavy braking. Really though, for a lot of my day-to-day riding, the Mega is a little too much bike already. The Giga would just be even slightly more "too much" I was looking very heavily at the Reactor, but I really wanted a size Small, Mixed...

Thanks for bringing this up, I'm hoping we can have a productive discussion and it doesn't devolve into "doesn't bother me/get over it/other industries do it too" etc. I don't know how much control Vital has over what ads they show but I gotta think they have the ability to push back a bit even they they can't afford to flat-out refuse a full homepage campaign. Hopefully someone who knows will chime in w/ a bit more detail. Edit: Here's SQ Labs contact form: https://sqlab-usa.com/pages/contact-us

Hey Bizutch. We missed the question in your comment and just saw the Kooka references. We'd have to revisit what Kooka was doing back then, but it's likely a different material/alloy that caused the issues.
