Cocalis talked pretty openly about it on the PB podcast a while back, tubes and lugs (as you said) and the frames are made in-house in AZ. He said they can make one in ~3 weeks.

How much travel front and rear does this have? I assume 204mm out back but the fork looks like maybe 180mm? As I recall, this is one of the first generation of modern-looking downhill bikes, with long travel, properly fat tires, full chainguides, and big disc brakes.

Hayes are probably just paying more and are a great brake too. They seem to be appearing on a lot more pro’s bikes recently (Fairclough for one)

BTW, just above the cloth on the downtube you can see some rivets which are used to secure the tubes to the lugs on this frame. It's clear there's a cradle under the cloth.

It's only effectively steep at the low height of the saddle. If it was raised to a pedaling height like you'd do on a trail or enduro bike, the effective sta would not be very steep.

I really appreciate everyone's feedback that has helped alot! Currently looking to pull the trigger on a Norco Fluid FS A3 29" for the Wife and a Norco Sight A3 27.5" for myself! It seems to be good entry level package to get us started in the sport.

Put 10,000 km into my first battery over 5 years, very bad etiquette the entire time: I was basically charging it to 100% most days and returning with 0% at least once a week. Motor died after 4 years (Shimano e8000), had to pay for a new one, battery degraded about 10% which is what I expected. I'd be more worried about the resale value than anything else, these things are way overpriced and no one wants to buy them used...

I tried to break a specialized kenevo for a year and a half…. Couldn’t do it. Only issues were: noisy motor for a while- belt related? It went away after a few months I think battery or motor overheating on super hot days and would cut power a little (full turbo and me killing myself going 20 mph up climbs) but would always go back to normal after a descent. knocked the battery connector loose on rocks once in a while firmware needed updating and left me with no power on one ride. mechanical and electrical problems were surprisingly minimal
