Not sure if this has been discussed, but DVO has a new 38mm stanchion Onyx coming out soon.

It's a little harder to make out since it's upside down and from the non-drive side, but to me it looks like the lower pivot (when right side up) has been raised above the chainring, judging by the elevation of the chainstays relative to the BB. Sure looks like a successor to me.

This same YouTuber also recently did a tour of the Norco headquarters here...here's the best look at what I think is probably an upcoming 'mid-pivot' e-bike, or at least a prototype of one.

Seems like their mule could use different "main" pivots; one for an idler and one without (and you can see the resulting differences in motion ratio in the graph, with the idler system having slightly lower leverage in the first half of travel and a barely more progressive end behavior). Probably a solid chance we'll see the 'production concept' within a year or two. You can also see an aluminum e-bike frame elsewhere in the video as well:

Some interesting stuff hanging on the wall. Likely the new Altitude on the far right which lines up with the previous (now private) video. Beside it are what looks like the current Instinct / Altitude frame with a penalty box. Perhaps the Instinct and Altitude will have different frames, or it could be a new Element? Then the blue frame with a seat stay brace and what looks like a shock tunnel matching the aluminum mule with a dual crown.

I much preferred it when he dunked on the big V and encouraged people to imolate themselves rather than talking actual sense.

The idea of the bike looks great and geo looks super fun. The part spec to price is the worst I maybe have ever seen. Level T and X7 on a $4.7k bike with a dual crown fork??!! What is this?

Wait, now there is a bubble!? LOL. My gawd this thread is pure comedy. Next to some pageview data, there is next to nothing quantifiable or qualitative here of note. No leaked emails, no internal data that is evidence the hypothesis may be true. Somebody tap me on the shoulder when I can come on a podcast and rant on this one. Love talking bikes & business, but this is missing the mark on a number of levels.

While I am not a fan of strava for blowing up trails(my data has been locked down), when you visit a new place and just want to check out other people's loops its very nice. This last weekend I went to Wilder Ranch in Santa Cruz and have never found a loop a liked. I opened the app and got a recommended loop that I had never done in 30seconds. All legal trails, mind you. Finished the ride stoked on a new loop that missed some of the crap climbs. I do this a lot for trail running while working...

I like that I have 10 (?) years of ride history in one place. It's fun to see trends over time.

For those who missed the link, on iOS: Settings (the little cog top right) > Privacy Controls > Aggregated Data Usage > turn the toggle off If you're riding unsanctioned trails you should also turn off flybys: Settings > Privacy Controls > Flybys > No one. Also consider setting your activity default visibility to "Only you". It's easy enough to make it visible when you save/upload the ride.

I hate that Strava does not include elevation loss in the data analysis. I consider this an interesting/important metric and would prefer to not leave my device going when riding lifts or using a shuttle. Garmin records and produces the data in Connect so it seems like its a pretty specific choice. Its a small thing but has bothered me since day 1. Everything else is perfectly adequate for my needs. Remember people stay off the Robots Kill List, make the lurkers and fun police earn it and TURN OFF YOUR AGGREGATED DATA USAGE.

Is it just me or does this HP Rocky have both a double crown fork and a widerange cassette?

I'm guessing it's because it's an ebike. But it's an ebike that used to have cable tourism and they've addressed the issue. That's a win in my book.

I enjoy almost all of the mtb related news outlets. Between GMBN, Pinkbike, and Vital lies the full spectrum of engagement in mountain bikes. GMBN seems to be very much novice/hobbyist focused.
