9/8/2022 11:19am Stop buying cheap chains. XX1 and X01 are way more durable and stronger than GX. In the long run these will save you money

9/8/2022 11:19am This, I take a weight penalty than run an e.13 cassette given what I've seen happens with them. Haven't even tried the shifting performance though, have little intention to do it.

8/24/2022 1:39pm The O-chain can feel like a very low engagement hub and can feel like you can do a "fall stroke" and go nowhere. This is why WRP has their new one. Isolates the chain from suspension in both directions with instant engagement on pedal stroke. Except being dumb expensive itll be a standard that Id happily buy. the guy knows his stuff

8/24/2022 1:20pm The fact that SRAM made a proprietary derailleur hanger that is also backwards compatible to be used as a “regular” hanger is admirable. These are the kinds of “new standards” I can get behind.

8/18/2022 1:26pm How come people are so interested in fullface helmet models? Its like this thread gets 50% of posts about helmets and the rest about all the other parts making up a bike.

8/18/2022 1:21pm Yea, "aero doesnt matter in DH" .... but riders have their pajamas custom tailored to basically turn them into skin suits...... the big teams still do wind tunnel testing.... in-too-fast-to-pedal sections fast riders get into their "speed-tuck" position. But "aero doesn't matter". No one is claiming multiple second differences with small changes, but it's pretty silly to think that it can't account for fractions of seconds over a 4+ minute track with some wide-open, very fast 60kph sections.

In a polite way I can’t see how that could be correct. Fore aft stiffness has everything to do with bushing overlap, bushing tolerance, , bushing set distances, and slider diameter. Butter cups simply don’t effect either. Sounds like the shop is trying to sell something.

8/1/2022 11:42am Good, you got 130mm of party in the back with mad dog Geo, I'd hope it had some ramp up because you will be going H.A.M on something like that! It also plays in with the "poppy & playful" nature that companies want to give their bikes now days. Just learn to bunnyhop bro.

8/1/2022 11:42am The new Fluid seems seriously progressive, maybe even more than a YT Jeffsy. (This approximation gives about 36% progression, or about 25% progression relative to the 30% sag point)

These have been great and I've enjoyed them. I use Manitou suspension so would have liked to have seen it included but I understand there is a limit to how much testing money & time there is to go around. Thanks again!

7/28/2022 1:18pm 80 Degrees effective angle on my 161. Brilliant for going up hills, not the most comfortable on flat due to pressure on my hands. I have my saddle just forward of half way on the rails. I'd say 80 is about the limit of seat angles, and really only suitable for enduro bikes that are going up steep climbs, where the seat angle helps keep you centralised. For a trail bike I think I'd want slightly slacker, or to move the seat back on its rails

7/24/2022 4:15am As I said, not so much for long distance on flat ground (though not so bad either), but pretty great for climbing, and the massive reach is as good for going down. Study on seat angle Anyone's got experience with 80° or +80°seat angle ?
