Suns_PSD Added a reply to Catastrophic Full-Face Helmet Failure!
6/16/2023 12:04pm Talk about testing the new equipment out! Sheesh. My opinion is that you hit your face hard enough where those teeth were definitely going either way. Losing teeth is the worst, my kid kicked one right out of my head some years back. $9K & 9 months later I'm good as new...

6/14/2023 11:25am Like many things, both extremes can feel bad in a similar way. So too little HBO (or none) will be harsh on bottom outs as the shock reaches a solid (ish) end point, but too strong of an HBO effect could feel harsh as it ramps up the damping force too suddenly. In reality, each bike and rider is going to be different and what feels like harshness is a sudden change in force which can either be too soft of a spring + damping suddenly transitioning in to a reasonable HBO (side note - soft settings encourage faster compression...

6/9/2023 10:36am I'm only 6'0" but ride a bike with 515 reach paired with a 31mm offset stem and 83mm rise bars with 15 degrees of backsweep. I've also ridden the BMB Raised Reverse stem on my bike. Zero or slightly negative effective offset is great from my experience. Also, stack doesn't scale with reach on larger frame, so you need to have higher bars on bigger sizes. If your bars aren't at least as high as your seat at full extension, they are probably too low for a trail or enduro bike. Stack is just as important as reach when discussing...

6/9/2023 10:32am You wanna know what I think? Ok then. I think it's really funny hat you just incorrectly assume that I have "little to no experience with, or understanding of" what I'm critizing. A friend (and neighbour) of mine is an engineer who has worked for Canyon for several years. He was actually one of the people tasked with integrating the KIS system into the existing Spectral frame(, a task he himself wasn't fond of btw because he doesn't much like the system either). When out on testing rides, we will often meet up and this way I have had test...

6/9/2023 8:34am I went too large on my XL Relay at only 5'11" as I've sized up for years and mulleting shortens it up a bit more. But the bike was just too big to manhandle, and I considered selling it. The bike also has front end traction like I've never felt, so good. So, it's the perfect bike to experiment with...

6/9/2023 8:09am I'm only a handful of rides in on my Relay with the Fazua 60. A few notes: 1) I've had no problems with it besides some cable rattle. 2) There is not much in the way of cable management. Cables are just zip tied to the battery bracket, and they can rattle. 3) I don't love the removable battery as...

5/30/2023 10:53am via email, here's the PR Immediate release: 5-Time World champion Loic Bruni prepares for season start, and uses MX for crossover training. Five-Time Downhill Mountainbike World Champion and esteemed icon prepares for the opening round in Lenzerheide, June 9-11, of his 2023 World Cup Season, utilizing motocross to enhance his performance. There are numerous distinctions between a mountain bike and a dirt bike, including weight, the impact of shifting body weight, propulsion, maintenance, noise, machine complexity, brake placement, and, of course, riding locations. Despite these evident differences between the two machines, engaging in one style of riding can serve as...

millsr4 Liked a reply to forum topic Crank length/bb height . Is shorter/lower the future?
5/8/2023 12:57pm I've found that I prefer a higher BB than what is fashionable after a couple scary rock strike while descending. I also find that I prefer cornering with the higher BB and don't notice a downside while riding. I prefer to mullet my bikes by going with a bigger front tire rather than switching to a smaller rear. That said, I'm a little guy and have always appreciated shorter cranks 165/170. I've definitely wanted to try some these newer extra short options.

4/25/2023 10:01am Depending on which idler size you have on the Trek session it changes how many degree of pedal kick, also which rear cog your in. I’ve tried the bike with and without oChain and it’s a noticeable difference in feedback to your feet and the bike feeling more “free”. It might not even be feedback from chain growth, but separating the feel from chain to your cranks and pedal. On a DH bike I think it’s still an advantage to using oChain. The only negative is the slop as you pedal forward.

4/25/2023 9:58am Nice bike, but it would be a lot better if it had the Bosch Race motor with a steeper seat tube, slacker head tube and enduro is not 140/150, so it needs longer travel to be considered enduro, (at minimum 160/160, but preferably 180/180 or 190/190).
