Isn't it an 8t? Also, not a pulley, it's the electric motor drive sprocket! A whole different thing 😜 Also sprag clutches are spongy due to their design, the forces in the sprags are high and they deform quite a bit. And because of the leverage ratio that's very noticeable on the pedals. Kinda like the sponginess of the front brake vs. the rear brake (a longer hose in the rear takes up more lever throw to deform).

I love my 3 sets of Berd spoked wheels and highly recommend them for many applications. That said, for my big hitting bike I choose to go with standard steel spokes for the rear. Berd spokes tend to feel a fair bit looser at times and also seem to get a bit sacked out with use. And I'm no Pro...

The derailleur plug-in already exists, but they're so hush-hush about it. Trek and Scott had them on some e-bikes. They apparently have a tiny battery to give you 100 or so shifts in the worst of situations. Dropper is going to require quite a redesign and space is already at a premium at the bottom of a dropper. From what I was told, SRAM went with the Shimano motor mounting pattern for immediate and easy installation onto existing bikes. Makes a lot of sense to flood the market quickly, especially if there's no real issue with the mounting pattern. Ruh-roh...

Looks like SRAM is baking in an automatic Transmission? Auto Shift shows up in the HUD with what looks like cadence adjustments.

If Gasgas don't rebrand to Wattwatt, they will have missed the marketing coup of the year. Upcoming trailhead conversations: -Hey, what bike is that? -Wattwatt! -Hum, I said what bike brand are you riding? -WattWATT!! -What is your problem man?

The gasgas doesn’t look like any existing frames I can think of but has a taipei cycle show catalog frame kinda look to it. Anyone else think it’s dumb that of the 3 ktm brands (ktm, husky, gasgas) they’ve chosen the only one with the word “gas” in the name to be their gravity oriented bike line?

Super content with my current set up, but then they are both '23s (Relay & Smuggler). I'm convinced I will hang on to these longer than any bikes before them. I figure I'd buy a new e-bike when they make a big jump in tech. As others have stated, integrated gearbox, lighter/ smaller battery packs, etc. I'd love to ride...

These are just rebranded generic Chinese brakes. They are all over AliExpress, sold with different brands, such as Zrace, Onirii, etc. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mOU2Hma You can pay 300+ bucks a piece for something sold for ~110 a set just for the brand, but it's up to you.

Since the tech rumor forum appears to be hallowed ground (and appropriately so), here’s a place for the pedal-assist enthusiasts out there to share ideas and ask questions. If you’re not into e-bikes, your virgin eyes need not be sullied by this dark corner of the internet. So the question that prompted this forum page: has anyone ridden the new Bosch SX motor?
