Yeah. He has great content and personality. It really is a shame that no one has figured-out how to cover enduro in an interesting way. Most gravity bikes sold are enduro bikes, and, I'd guess that on a local level, enduro racing is still popular. But translating World Cup Enduro to a television audience has just never been done well. I think my initial comment about "looking for a sport" may have sounded unkind. It wasn't meant to be--really just a sad reaction to what seems like the slow death of what really is a great sport. I got to...

$5 on Gamux x Manitou if Reece stays with those partners. Seems like they're hellbent on trying everything. The thigh-grippers/femoral artery shredder device will need redesigned to fit those 32" wheels though

Been running the same AliEx maxima copy levers with (first DB8'S) and now magura MT7 calipers with Tektro mineral oil. No issues whatsoever. No noise. No fade. No wandering bite point. Just budget friendly, strong brakes.

TBF he's one of only a few enduro athletes that could be making a good living. His SM presence brings a pretty solid amount of business to whatever sponsor he's got, even if he's not outright winning races week in week out.

He's looking for a new sport, really. How many fully-salaried Enduro racers are there left?

Come to think of it, Devinci will most likely be launching a long-overdue Spartan update this year. Heard it will match the rest of the lineup as a made-in-Canada frame with similar design language. Allegedly, some very aggressive geo as well. Also, new Norco DH bike....

In honor of the 1000th page, we should vote on the best meme of 2025: 👍🏻 for “Crab” 👎🏻 for “6-7” edit: Carcinization is the antithesis of innovation. Maybe we should keep crab talk on the crab talk forum and keep this thread focused on MTB tech rumors and/or innovation.

I appreciate what you have to say, but being a moderator doesn't mean wielding a club to bash people when they post something when they think it is wrong. It is a larger picture that must be taken into account. And I am sure there are times when the moderators of these forums want to say something, but are unable to in order to keep the peace and not disrupt the flow that takes place within these digital pages. Being moderator is a horrible position to be in as you have to answer to ownership, management, and the consumer. In...

If I may interrupt the bickering... This page says 998, but the Hub says 999. Either way, we're close to a thousand pages in this thread! Who's buying the keg and where will it be?

The E-bikes over 8 years thing is interesting. From my understanding, battery tech didn't have as many fail safes from thermal run-away as they do now in the first gen of E-bikes. The first gen Turbo series from Specialized did a heap for battery safety. We as a shop, don't work on bikes systems we don't sell, mainly because we cannot troubleshoot them software wise or get repair parts easily. For example, if we're replacing a dropper cable, and some part of the E-drive system is damaged while we are doing the repair for any reason, the amount of time...

Would be a massive jump for Yeti to ditch the "switch finitelifespan" system? Going by the heel rub, the rider has put in a lot of distance on frame.

The product manager said on the N-1 podcast that the 120mm Trance is dead and the Anthem X will fill the gap. I loved the 2nd gen Trance 29, it was a great all around trail bike. It could be built light enough to compete on harder XC/marathon courses but could also race light/pedally enduro. Kinda bummed I sold it tbh, I had the bronze camo frameset so it was pretty unique. The X is probably a better all around bike for more people though, and probably a better seller.
