It's probably less about the extra forces a dual-crown puts on the frame these days, I think you're right about that. The one important issue to keep in mind though is that the stanchions will bump against the head tube junction area, and if the frame is not built to take the resulting direct force in that particular area you could easily cause an issue in a crash.

Ya know, I'm changing my tune about 32" wheels. I don't really have all that much interest in owning a 32" bike, and I fully expect most, if not all of the first 32" bikes to not be in my wheelhouse... But right now, I'd kill for anything that isn't related to an ebike to read about. Never before have I yearned to digest some bike stuff that just involved the measly 250w that I struggle to put out. I set it to 203mm (as mentioned in a bike check from my memory) 16.2cm = 6.377 inch, rounded up however the app used rounds things and also not a perfect angle. A lot of people use these kinds of bikes for XC races. Some races like XCOs probably no one carries anything. Other races like Moab Rocks probably most people are carrying something on at least one of the days because the risk of a flat tire is so high racing mostly blind with XC tires in Moab. Other races like BCBR require you to carry certain things (but they don’t enforce it).
