10/13/2023 4:01pm 1. You were complaining about the waste from direct to consumer packaging. You're ignoring that the products sold at LBS first had to be packed and shipped to that LBS. On top of this, you then have to drive the shop to purchase the item and bring it home. 2. You were talking about keeping money in your local economy. I doubt most (if any) of the MTB products you buy are manufactured locally.

10/12/2023 6:09pm Virtually every shop I have ever been in: “We don’t have that at the moment, but we can order it for you.” I can order it too, and it’ll come straight to my house. I’m going to install it myself anyway regardless of where it was purchased. Why would I make a second trip? Complete bikes are the same. I’m going to go over your build with a fine tooth comb, so why wouldn’t I just build it myself from the get-go. I don’t understand people arguing so hard to support brick and mortar just because that is the long...

10/11/2023 3:51pm After watching a full season of DH, it's sad to see the broadcast take a step back. The main problem is that Ric & Cedrick spend almost the entire race run telling you what's happening. Viewers can already see what's happening on screen, so they really don't need the constant reminder of what they're already seeing. Similarly, they fill any dead air with superlatives of how fast the riders are going, which is something that adds to the broadcast if there's something truly noteworthy or a subtle thing that a viewer will have a hard time noticing. What separates good...

10/3/2023 4:13pm Dear GCN+/Discovery/WB please stop the drone footage. It is not good. Use it once for a reference of the track. Stop please. It is terrible.

6/27/2023 3:02pm This is one of those things that is turning me against Discovery ESO. They talked about increasing safety but also mislead people by claiming that increasing to 2 race runs would not increase injuries. That's patently false to anyone with a C level understanding of statistics. Double the runs = double the risk, and that ignores rider fatigue as a factor Stuff like this, the lack of a safe B zone is just another strike showing ESO doesn't care about rider safety enough to take minimal steps to improve safety. I'm actively trying to give ESO a chance, but it's...

6/10/2023 3:14pm Semis was a laughable production. Not even in the same ball park as RedBull. With them charging for finals viewership is going to be hard to keep finals wasn’t bad. Some errors, graphics need work, and commentary was a mess. But the racing was good and cameras were decent. But certainly not a step above the last couple seasons of Red Bull. And that’s with a very short track!!!

6/10/2023 3:14pm Definitely not refined enough to even consider charging people. It’s like Freecaster days with better visual images but how much is down to much better technology.

6/10/2023 3:13pm thanks for the links. Watching the DH world cup has been one of my favorite activities over the past years, but the introduction of paying for a product you do not know the quality of, at time shit commentary and questionable production quality just kills what little hype I have left for watching it. Cedric is a nice guy, but his commentary leaves a lot to be desired. He talks too slow, his pronunciation is poor and while I'll give him credit for trying to bring insider knowledge about riding/setup/line choice, his commentary just gets worse the more hyped he...

6/6/2023 7:14pm I don't think it is particularly offensive or in poor taste, just not great marketing: There is no way I'm opening Vital at work (open space) while that ad pops up on my screen, and there is absolutely no way I would click on it.

6/6/2023 7:14pm I've used their saddles, I've used their chamois/Bib, i've met a few people from this brand, all thumbs up in my experience. But, today seeing the takeover and little icons of g-string/etc asses all over my home page, it wasn't for me, especially as some of you said about a day when 2 incredible women riders dropped some great videos....I guess it's even more ironic the banner ad on the side of this forum topic is a kid selling overalls lol
