I think keyboard warriors wanted to see YT burn after this to burn Markus. Twice have they burned riders at the top of the game. They burned customers. Why would we want to be oh yeah they are back? All the good karma that they had built up over the years?

There have been a few almost losses the last two years who at least tried or were open about what was happening, and come back swinging like Rocky, Kona, Nukeproof. They have all come back in someway and people celebrated them coming back because of the way they handled it. Revel as well, although they were a bit tougher with customer support. Then there are YT and Pole. If two brands stayed dead because of the way they handled their customers and riders very publicly, I don't think a lot of people who cry about it.

IMO the hate towards Warner Bros/ Discovery/ the UCI is completely warranted. They took a reasonable product from RedBull that was FREE, added a paywall, started dismantling and taking apart the sport we love and seem content to just throw out crappy coverage. I actually got a MAX sub yesterday to watch the race and I was talking to a buddy who's a non-rider about the difference between Redbull and Discovery. Here's my take based on year 2 of Discovery for those that care. 1. Cameras are good and improving 2. Commentating is improving, especially with Gwin, although I'm not a Rich fan. I think one thing that has worked against them is that they have made a lot of noise and claims about how they are improving things and growing the sport. They have then fallen short on promises made on numerous occasions. From what I remember RB never got into the habit of blowing their own trumpet, instead they just got on with providing great coverage of WC events, alongside bringing ground breaking events such as Rampage and Hardline. Don't talk the talk if you can't (or won't) walk the walk.

Good list, and a few more (albeit minor): - Not talking about the splits until 10-20 seconds after they are on-screen - Show where we are in the running order (I saw it once, before the Dak's run "1 rider to go".
