I wish I could believe these numbers - maybe its true, but my Bugs-and-Fudd-ometer tells me its BS. Literally no one I know subscribed to Max (or whatever) to watch this, and I'm only watching b/c my wife happens to already be subscribed... that's anecdotal & meaningless, sure, but I don't see how WB can be attracting massive #'s when this is hardly promoted. Even in the Sports tab of Max you wouldn't even know DH existed unless you search for it. Still - the riding has been world class, bc the riders are world class regardless of what Bugs...

Lol. He did the same in the 40+ category of the whistler ews 10 yrs ago. So when my wife sees him finish a stage she commented to a random lady standing next to her that he was a total "sanbagging doosh" ( repeating my words ). The woman then replied that he was her husband.

Though I see no way for it to work, I think we can all agree it would be funnier if he pinky braked.

I think like most things in life, it depends. If it’s serious or life threatening, don’t speak on it, let the family announce things when they’re ready. Did you watch the crash yourself and you could see they were know hurt, but you are not sure to what extent. Stay quiet. Did you see someone walking around the pits in public with a cast on their arm or with crutches, but it clearly happened previously in the week and they are fine. I think it would be okay to say “I saw (insert name) with a broken arm, I don’t...

Etiquette Question: If you're aware that a rider crashed and/or got injured during practice at a race, is the proper etiquette to not really post about it until THEY post about it (I'm talking more regional/national races, not World Cup races where usually media is going to cover those).

With how rad the Korea vibe is already, it only amplifies how wack Utah continues to be. Youre saying I can stay at the beach for this? Heard Gangnam Style for the first time in forever at the grocery store a couple nights ago, must’ve been a sign.

I've heard end of May as it's a holiday weekend for Buddha's birthday and great for tourism in Asia, but that's a very late start to the seasons. The bike parks in Pyeongchang usually open the last week of April or first week of May. There's still snow on some of the lower slopes but the woods to the side are usually already dry and loamy. The course should be coming down from the top of the resort, so the potential for seeing snow off to the side is real. Frank Pardal is doing more than scouting. The trail builders...

(if Orbea releases one more lower tier of the new Rallon, or even crazier a budget alloy version, with some features ripped out likely, they win MTBing in 2025 and deserve it... I mean they still win with their custom build format but nearly 6k barrier to entry means most people, such as myself, will never experience such a monster rig) (new Trek Fuels are cool but as usual colors are meh and build values are meh compared to other brands... and lets casually ignore weight lol)

I agree, incentive is limited. I'm actually a sucker for rad paint jobs, and nobody is doing anything remotely cool these days on that front. Where the hell are the fades, splatters, metallics, neon colors, etc. No originality at all. Please drop some acid and get back to me.

Fox reports earnings after the close. Not expecting anything major, but they remain a solid benchmark for the space. I’ll cover it. Quick aside: after talking to a few private credit guys, it's becoming clear that the smaller the company, the more pain they're feeling...regardless of industry. That might seem obvious, but for many private companies under $50–100M in revenue, key profitability metrics have noticeably compressed over the last 3–4 years. Tariff concerns have eased somewhat, but they still hit these smaller players harder, especially those already operating on thin margins. Worth noting because Fox is large and public, with...

Hoping they add a 170/180mm bike with a dual crown build at some point. Given the general vibe of Transition and the sheer amount of Spires and Patrols being used as park bikes (me included) it's a crime Specialized has a dual crown park bike and Transition does not! (the Status 170 park is a great bike though)

If I had to guess is they’ll make it more friendly to mullet. Frame storage. And stiffen up the head tube area a touch. Potentially a mullet dual crown option in addition to the single crown 29er build.

I doubt anything is coming anytime soon. And I wouldn't expect it to become any less spire-ish. The whole reason the sentinel got a steeper STA and was able to be shifted back to being more on the "all-mountain side of enduro" in this most recent version was that when the last version was first released the spire hadn't launched yet so the sentinel had to be their big enduro bike. But, with the launch of the spire, the sentinel could now be a bit less of a super slack, hard charger. My guess is that the spire gets the...
